Habe nun mehrere Konverter von dieser Marke. Seit 2 Jahren, die Dinger sind immer an.Muss sagen ich bin hin und weg, mit einem USB 3.0 HDMI Capture Device zusammen, macht man damit richtig gute Aufnahmen aber.1. Beim C64 ist ganz wichtig das man das S-VHS Signal benutzt, und Interlace offen lässt in den Einstellungen, also kein De-Interlace einstellen.2. Bei VHS das gleiche, so fern man einen Player hat der das überhaupt erlaubt. Also S-VHS.3. Bei der freien Software OBS ist es möglich bei dem Capture Device 50 Hz ein zu stellen, leider ist die allgemeine Konfiguration etwas komplizierter, aber wenn man das einmal geschafft hat, sind die Aufnahmen echt verdammt gut.4. Virtualdub 2.0 Hier sind die Einstellungen für das Capturen einfacher, aber ihn zu überreden das auch mit 50hz aufzunehmen bedauerlicherweise nicht so einfach, es geht, aber etwas friemelig.Am Ende, kann das dingen für unter 100€ alles das, was jemand im Retro Bereich will, mit einer unglaublichen Qualität für den Preis. Und ohne merklicher Zeit. Also auch gut geeignet um z.B. C128/C64 Spiele in echtzeit zu Spielen.

Did not work very well with my Atari XEGS (composite out) and my LG 4k TV - washed out colours. A much cheaper converter gives far better colours and no detectable lag.

Habe mir dieses Gerät gekauft, um meinen C64 an einen modernen Fernseher anzuschließen. Die Qualität ist ok, habe aber teilweise bessere Ergebnisse, wenn ich direkt in den Fernseher fahre (sogar über den Antennenanschluss). Bei einigen Spielen (wenn viel Schrift vorhanden ist) ist das Bild aber sehr gut. Habs zB mit Vermeer versucht, sehr gutes Bild. Bei anderen Spielen (zB IK+) Verschlechterung des Bildes. Fazit - durchwachsen.

Verwende das Gerät zum Anschließen eines C64 an HDMI Monitor. Bild ist OK!

Nachdem hier alle den Konverter für den ollen Brotkasten bewerten, hier ein paar Eindrücke an meinem Atari 800XL: Das Bild ist via Composite gut (mit den üblichen Artefakten), Latenz keine vorhanden (gemessen!), via S-Video ist das Bild super! (ebenfalls keine Latenz).Man muss aber unbedingt vermeiden, Composite und S-Video gleichzeitig an den Konverter anzustecken, denn sonst wird das Bild insbesondere bei S-Video deutlich schlechter dargestellt (keine Ahnung warum). Das Gerät gibt 720x576 oder 720x288 auf PAL aus (andere Auflösungen und full HD oder 4k gibt es damit nicht!), der daran via HDMI angeschlossene TV muss dann eben das Upscaling übernehmen, was je nach TV halt unterschiedlich gut und schnell funktioniert.Gerade beim Atari habe ich dutzende Konverter in Sachen Bildqualität und insgesamt 7 Konverter in Sachen Latenz durchgetestet, nur dieser hier hat überzeugt (alle anderen billig-Konverter unter 100 Euro taugten nix am Atari XL/XE). Ich kenne noch deutlich teurere HDMI-Konverter die man für den Atari XL/XE nutzen kann (z.B. Medusa für ca. 200 Euro, Framemeister für ehemals ca. 350-400 Euro) und dieses kleine und preiswerte Gerät kann durchaus mit den teuren Profigeräten am A8 mithalten.

I have a PAL GameCube modded with Swiss. And PAL60 & NTCS games won’t display colours correctly. Yellows are shown on my tv as a weird combi between grey and green and it has a lot of weird scan lines. I bought this adapter to try and fix that, but it doesn’t work with this one as well. Other than that, it does display PAL games great. But because it didn’t satisfy my needs, 2 stars. Because a 2 dollar adapter from Ali Express works just as good and even upscales to 1080p.

Ist für Nintendo Konsolen ganz gut geeignet mit einem passenden svideo Kabel.Ich habe in den letzten Wochen etwa 20 verschiedene HDMI Konverter / Kabel getestet und möchte daher gerne allen die Suche erleichtern, die vor haben eine SNES, GameCube oder N64 in akzeptabler Qualität am großen LCD TV anzuschließen. Ich kann meine Bewertung daher auch nur für diesen Anwendungsfall schreiben.Schon mal vorab: Dieses Teil hier ist dafür ganz gut geeignet für den Preis.1.Man muss sich zunächst das bestmögliche Kabel für die Konsole kaufen. Ein normales Nintendo AV / RCA Kabel liefert kein besonders gutes Bild.2.Am besten ein spezielles hochwertiges PAL S-Video Kabel für Nintendo Konsolen kaufen (kein NTSC, da das Bild sonst zu hell ist). Kabel für 10€ sind quatsch und liefern ein schlechtes Signal. Meins hat bei ebbay 55€ gekostet, habe mir aber auch aus England eins für 15€ inkl. Versand bestellt, das soll eine genauso gute Qualität liefern (leider noch nicht da).3.Das Kabel nicht mit einem SCART Adapter an den Fernseher anschließen, in den meisten Fällen bleibt das Bild schwarz weiß, bei mir auch an mehreren Fernsehern festgestellt.4.Zum Anschluss einen guten Retro Konverter verwenden. Z. B. RetroTink oder wenn es günstiger sein soll einen RetroScaler2x oder ODV composit hdmi converter (hier etwa 65€). Habe nach meinen Tests den RetroSkaler2x (ist quasi ein Klon des retrotink) behalten, der liefert mit dem guten Kabel das beste Bild. Kostet hier bei Amazon 110€, den gleichen gibt es aber auch bei aliexppress für 55€ inkl. Versand und Zoll (wenn man auf guten amazon Service und Garantieabwickling verzichten kann).5.Alternativ, wenn man nicht so viel ausgeben möchte, dann hier den "Kaico Analogue HDMI Adapter for use with Nintendo N64" für 66€ kaufen. Das war der beste hdmi adapter der ohne Stromversorgung und ohne weiteres Equipment verwendet werden kann. Qualität kommt fast an das oben genannte Equipment ran.Fazit: Wer das Teil hier für retro Konsolen verwenden möchte, kann ruhig zugreifen, passendes Kabel jedoch nicht vergessen. Wer noch mehr ausgeben will dann nen rgb mod und direkt nen hdmi Port einbauen lassen (sofern das mit der Konsole geht).

Ich habe diesen Adapter gekauft weil ich mit dem von Kaico unzufrieden war. Ständig musste ich den Adapter neu konfigurieren das hat irgendwann generft, also habe ich diesen Adapter ausprobiert, für meine N64 und was soll ich sagen, es läuft einfach super. Plug and Play und der Retrospaß kann losgehen. Da ich eine Original N64 Konsole (NUS-001 [EUR]) habe ohne RGB Mod, werde ich mir jetzt noch ein S-Video Kabel holen, da ich gelesen habe, dass damit die Bildqualität noch etwas gesteigert werden kann.

Después de bastante uso, sobre todo en consolas analógicas de ultima hornada como Wii y PS2 (soy de España así que versión PAL) conectadas a una LG CX 55", puedo decir que es un muy buen dispositivo siempre y cuando sepas lo que compras. Vamos por partes.Antes de nada comentar que mucha de la información que comentaré la he sacado del vídeo de "My Life in Gaming" sobre el "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)", el cual recomiendo encarecidamente ver al ser el ODV una copia prácticamente idéntica de este "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)". Sabiendo esto, aquí están las entradas y salidas disponibles del propio dispositivo:Inputs:- Composite Video, S-Video, YPbPr / Component (+Audio via Stereo Cinch)Outputs:- HDMI: 480p/576p "duplicación de líneas" (input 240p/288p) o 480p/576p "duplicación de líneas + filtro" (input 240p/288p)- HDMI: 480p/576p con "Bob-deinterlacing" (input 480i/576i) o con "Line2x" (input 480i/576i)- HDMI: 240p/480i o 288p/576i "passthrough"Los botones:- Signal Switching: cambia la señal del input, dependiendo de donde se encienda la luz indicará un tipo diferente de input (izquierda: compuesto, centro: S-Video, derecha: YPbPr).- Frequency multiplier/filter: sirve para cambiar de un tipo de señal de output a otra.Como usuarios que queremos (en mi caso) usar este aparato para pasar a digital señales analógicas de consolas retro, deberemos saber que tipo de señal saca cada consola y que medio usar para ello. En mi caso yo utilizo cables de componentes para ambas Wii y PS2. Una vez teniendo claro esto y sabiendo que este dispositivo no es un "escalador" en sí sino un "doblador de líneas", lo cual implica no sufrir la latencia que produce un "escalador" de resolución. Es decir que no sumaremos input-lag con este dispositivo más que el que añada el propio monitor/televisor. Paso ahora a aclarar como funcionan los distintos outputs.Para consolas con salida 240p/288p tenemos la función de "duplicación de líneas" para alcanzar así 480p/576p con una imagen más nítida para televisores actuales. Pulsando el botón "Frequency multiplier/filter" obtenemos la misma señal solo que con bordes de pixeles suavizados. Volviendo a pulsarlo obtenemos la señal directa o "passthrough" a 240p/288p como output.En cuanto a consolas con salida 480i/576i tenemos como output una señal de 480p/576p con "Bob-deinterlacing" y así simular el efecto de "entrelazado" de las señales originales. Pulsando el botón "Frequency multiplier/filter" obtenemos la misma señal solo que con este efecto de "entrelazado" suavizado. Volviendo a pulsarlo obtenemos la señal directa o "passthrough" a 480i/576i como output. Consolas como Gamecube/PS2/Wii/Xbox cuentan con salida a 480p (incluso mayor como PS2 y XBOX), pero tened en cuenta que este dispositivo NO soporta este tipo de input.Ahora toca explicar el asunto del PAL60. Al ser este aparato una copia del "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)", no soporta 480p eso lo sabemos. Originalmente el "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)" tampoco era compatible con juegos PAL a 60Hz a 480i, hasta su firmware 3.2 inclusive y en adelante donde sí lo soportaba. El ODV que yo poseo sí es compatible con PAL60 con cables de Componentes, pero no con cables Compuestos (entiendo que tampoco con S-Video, aunque no he podido probarlo). El "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)" trajo la compatibilidad con PAL60 de estos cables con su firmware 3.2, por lo que al ser este ODV una copia con firmware 3.1 o anterior no posee esa compatibilidad. Cuando intentamos configurar este modo en consolas PAL, la imagen se ve borrosa y con colores incorrectos. The ODV I own does support PAL60 with Component cables, but not with Composite cables (I understand it doesn't support S-Video either, although I haven't been able to test it). The "RetroTINK-2X (Classic)" brought PAL60 support for these cables with its 3.2 firmware, so this ODV being a copy with firmware 3.1 or earlier does not have that support. When we try to set this mode on PAL consoles, the picture looks blurry and with incorrect colours. Especially being able to buy it on Amazon with their technical service and return policy, which in other shops would be more difficult. The only thing to keep in mind are the incompatibilities with certain modes and their limitations.

This box works really well with S-Video output from a C64. If that's what you're looking for, buy it.I also have a Spectrum that outputs on composite. The picture from that output is fine for a while then switches to a fuzzy picture with diagonal interference. Weirdly this is "fixed" if I plug in an S-Video cable. It seems the inputs aren't isolated from each other. So I wouldn't recommend one of these if you're just using the composite input or if you want to switch between multiple devices when more than one of them might be on at the same time.I can't comment on the component input as I've not used it yet.

Allora, la mia TV di ultima generazione non ha entrate video analogiche (solo HDMI), e questo apparecchio fa quello che deve fare. Non volevo un upscaler, infatti non upscala l'immagine, ma la riversa così com'è nell'HDMI. Ed era ciò che volevo. Chiaro l'immagine da un RCA... è un'immagine RCA Pal, e la qualità è la sua originale, niente più, niente meno. Come se la Tv avesse l'entrata apposita. Personalmente ne ho provate di ogni, e questa è la soluzione definitiva. Ripeto: non è un upscler, quindi non vi aspettate qualcosa di HD. Un po' caro, ma secondo me vale la pena.
