Buyer beware. Although this filter said it would fit our car, it did not. Seller would not refund or exchange since we were outside of the return time.

Works good, exact fit to replace OEM filter. A little hard to get under vehicle, and more difficult to remove old filter than it is to install new filter, but once you are done, it is worth it vs what the dealerships or any indy shop would charge you for the job

I have a 2002 BMW X5. This is an OEM replacement filter at a lower cost than the dealer. Only four stars since it is advertised as fitting a 2002 BMW X5. This is only partially true since it fits cars produced only until the first quarter of 2002. After that they came equipped with a Mann-Filter WK 513/3, also available on Amazon, but advertised as NOT fitting 2002 cars. The two filters are not interchangeable since the fuel line connectors are different. The earlier filters had rubber lines and hose clamps; the later filters have click-on fittings on plastic fuel lines. If yours is a 2002, check your car's birth date or try to get a peek at the filter before ordering the correct one. The older one is almost twice as long as the newer one.The click-on fittings are easy to remove, just press in the blue plastic retainer "push button" while gently pulling the fuel line from the filter. If you break the plastic retainer, they are also available on Amazon: Dorman No 800-027 Fuel Line Clip. Replacing the fuel filter takes about three minutes. Getting to it takes about an hour to jack up the car and remove the gas tank protector under the driver side.

This is the genuine article, as promised. Mann makes BMW's OEM filters. This was a super great deal and the part came double boxed.Removal of the old filter was a bit frustrating for a first timer like me. The hose clamps fastening the old fuel filter were fortunately the screw type- not the BMW ones which must be pried and discarded. A LOT of gasoline came flying out when I removed the first hose running from the back of the car(gas tank) to the filter. The gas flew at me from the filter side. I was wearing goggles but it still managed to douse me in the eyes. This was after aaddening struggle to remove the hose. I had a vice grip pinching the hose shut. The vice grip also aided me in pulling the hose from the old filter(don't forget to tape over the teeth of the vice grip so it doesn't ruin the line). Once I managed to yank the the first hose the others weren't as hard. I just wrestled with the filter patiently until it came off. The new one slipped right in. A word of caution - I was super low on gas when I did the filter swap. I lost enough gas in the swap to necessitate a jog to a local station for a jug of gas in order to get the car started.
