Wird mit einer WD Blue 1 TB M.2 2280 verwendet, einer der letzten SSDs, die noch in diesem Formfaktor angeboten werden. Damit lebt das MacBook erstmal weiter.

Used this in my Late 2012 Macbook Pro 13" to upgrade to a 512GB M.2 SATA SSD. Product fits great, worked first time, and allowed me to quadruple my storage. Defintely a worthwhile buy if you find yourself with not enough storage or a dead SSD.

Dopo la rottura inaspettata del disco ssd avevo bisogno di una soluzione più economica rispetto ai normali dischi ssd per MacBook Pro, tra l'altro di difficile reperibilità e limitati ad un paio di marche tra cui la blasonata owc. Fatti un po' di calcoli adattatore più un disco da 1tb, un m2 non di ultima generazione neve ma i classici m2sata 2280, mi son venuti a costare circa 80 euro, disco preso su amazon da tera circa 48 euro più adattatore da 24. Avessi scelto la strada del disco compatibile avrei speso per un tera non meno del doppio.L'adattatore per ora fa il suo dovere. Funziona benissimo assieme al disco, installato e subito riconosciuto senza problemi. Il disco sembra un 5% più lento del'owc che avevo prima, ma è una differenza marginale, direi insignificante. Servizio spedizione un po' lento , l'articolo viene dalla Germania, ma il disco arrivato in pochi giorni. Tutto sommato per ora bene. 4 stelle perché è difficile al momento immaginarne la durata.

Fits fine in an early 2013 macbook pro. Comes with a larger screw for the two boards and matching screwdriver if you strip the existing torx screw thanks to a bad screwdriver like I did.Used with a WD Blue 1TB M.2 2280, one of the last decent SSDs that is still made in this form factor.If you don't want to go through boot camp, windows needs to be installed in legacy MBR mode instead of UEFI (format as MBR with Rufus instead of GPT) if you want sound to work at all on the macs from this generation. On github there's a tool called brigadier for getting the boot camp drivers and a precision touchpad driver that works with this generation macbooks.

Got this because I found a 2012 15in Retina Macbook Pro someone threw out, but they removed the SSD. I'm using this on a 128GB Sandisk X600 and it's working with no problems so far. You can get adapters more similar to the NVMe ones for less on other outlets, but if you have to order form Amazon, this one works with no problems. It comes with a good amount of mounting screws, and it does have mounting holes for 30mm, 42mm, and 60mm SSDs, although I've never seen 30mm and 60mm SATA m.2 SSDs but you have that option if you ever run into one, and you can use 42mm if you have one of those lying around.
