I’m relatively new to archery, shooting a 40 lb recurve for backyard practice, and while I’ve gotten better, missed shots are still part of the game. I didn’t want to keep losing or damaging arrows - especially since I’ve started using pricier carbon fiber ones - so a safety net seemed like a good idea. After looking through several options, the LWANO looked like an interesting option with its compact size, ease of setup, and promises of stopping arrows effectively. Well, what can I say after ordering it and getting it in my hands? The materials felt solid - not industrial-grade thick, but definitely more than just a basic mesh. The kit included a 10-meter rope and four sturdy metal hooks, which made hanging it along the fence in my yard quick and relatively hassle-free. One tip I can offer from my experience - don’t stretch the net tight. Leaving the bottom hanging loosely with a little weight touching the ground makes a big difference in how well it absorbs impact. With that setup, it caught every one of my arrows from 20 yards without a problem. The fabric flexes on impact, slowing the arrows gently without bending or damaging them, which is exactly what I needed. The 5x5 foot size is enough for my current setup and skill level, but if your aim tends to stray or you shoot from longer distances, it can feel small. I’ve had a few arrows miss the net entirely when I was experimenting with distance or switching bows. Still, within its limits - especially with lower draw weights and target tips - it performs very well. Over the last few weeks, I’ve used it almost daily, and the material is holding up nicely with no fraying or tears yet. I haven’t left it outside for long stretches though, since I’m not convinced about how weather-resistant it actually is. The fabric isn’t as thick as advertised (mine measured just over 1mm, not 2mm), so I’m not planning to test it with anything heavier than my recurve anytime soon. One of the big advantages is how portable and low-maintenance it is. I can take it down in seconds, fold it up, and store it when not in use. That said, this isn’t something I’d trust with a high-powered compound bow or crossbow. From what I’ve seen, arrows over 60 lbs or traveling above 340fps can punch through, which could wear down the material quickly or create safety risks. So if you're shooting high-poundage bows or using broadheads, this probably isn’t the right fit. In the end, this backstop has been a great addition to my backyard archery setup. It’s not perfect, and it’s not made for every type of archer or every draw weight, but it’s effective, easy to use, and has already saved me from losing more than a few arrows in the weeds. For beginners or casual shooters using lighter recurve bows, it offers a good balance of protection and practicality. Works very well with a recurve bow. Stops arrows completely at 60' .

Great for keeping field tip arrows in shooting backstop area. Unlike a hard backboard this net does not damage arrows that miss the target. It's great not having to chase arrows in a forested area. Depending on the trajectory missed shots can hit rocks or burrow under leaf litter making for lost or damaged arrows. Especially important when you're shooting high dollar carbon fiber arrows.The net comes with ropes and carabiners to make setup easy. In my case I needed to ad some additional rope because my tie off point was further than expected. The clips make it easy to set ip and take down. I leave the roads on place and just take down the new. Not sure how uv proof it is but with my luck I'de have a deer get caught in it.. lol. So it's better to take it down. Easily stops field points shot my a 50lb recurve bow. Not sure if it would stop a compound but I leave the bottom of the net loose with some weights just touching the ground to help disapate force. Works very well and I'm pleased with my purchase. Been wanting one for a long time and I thought this one was very reasonable.

I ordered this with very high expectations. Those expectations were met and some were exceeded. The only thing that disappointed me was that this material measured 1.1mm thick with digital calipers. It’s not 2mm thick as advertised. Nonetheless it has stopped all of my arrows at a max speed of about 345fps. Any faster than that and the arrows start to slightly penetrate the backstop which will wear it down faster.It also works as a backstop for slingshots no matter what type of ammo you use. It also is an excellent backstop for low powered CO2 pistols. Like my Glock 17 gen 4 blowback BB gun. Bb’s just hit and drop and do not leave a mark. I was able to use both bb’s and pellets as long as they were traveling 460fps or less! This was all an added bonus that I was not expecting. I would caution against using this backstop with a crossbow. It MIGHT stop a 440fps bolt but I am unwilling to try since I saw them starting to just barely penetrate the backstop with 32” carbon arrows from a 65# compound bow producing an average of 345fps….. so they do have a limit. But so far this backstop is working great for my recurve bows, compound bows, blowback Airguns, slingshots and small pistol crossbows with the 6” bolts. Only 5 stars because it needs to last many more months of use to earn all 5 stars

I didn't have high hopes for this, arrows have alot more power than most people realize, and I figured this would either let some through, or get beat up pretty fast and worn down, but if setup right this is very clever. Hang this up with some slack on your lines to give the fabric some opportunity to catch arrows.Some caveats - we only use recurve bows less than 35 lb draw weight and only target tips. I do not think this would catch arrows from a 70 lb compound bow, but I was surprised by how well it handled the rcurve arrows at a little over 10 yards.Hooks are nice, and these were durable. Of course size depends on distance and how accurate your shooters are, We have a wide range of archers, so some are wildly off, but this caught a good deal of off target arrows at this size.
