Absolutely terrible. Humidifier arrived in original box, but had been used. All moldy and black on the inside and still wet from the last person who must've returned it.

I have tried many evaporative, mist, and steam humidifiers. And I very much like this one. Next paragraph describes my needs, followed by more details on pros/cons. tl;dr it's a good product, though steam humidifiers are costlier; this is the best choice by elimination when prioritizing RH% controlI prioritize reaching target RH% for personal comfort but primarily to maintain a good environment for several musical instruments that respond to humidity. Also, my children whine when they get dry itchy skin. That's priceless to resolve for both good and selfish reasons. Why I will not use any more mist humidifiers: humans have spent a long time improving civilization and moving out of swamps, let's not go back in; it turns out mineral dust doesn't improve my living room, electronics, musical instruments, or lungs; requires a bit of planning regarding ambient heat and airflow to manage the swamp and locality problems from pushing >300mL/hr water into 100 cu ft of space; you have to think about the flooring/surface material that you have under a mist humidifierWhy I use several evaporative humidifiers to support dry pockets: they're cheap; wicking filters are easy to reuse if you have access to vinegar or are financially positioned to shell out $5-10 for a weak acid of your choice + $1 bucket + 30 minutes of letting that bucket sit (alternatively, you can pay $15ish for a new filter depending on brand, but that's for people who value their time at >$8/hr and come on nobody is that important); my children enjoy subtle white noise; no swampsSteam humidifiers as the primary RH% driver:Cons:- Price for the equipment- Operating expense- Boiling does create more noise, but you can find ways to deal/avoid and this unit hides the bubbly noise behind layers of solid material and water, which helps- Cleaning isn't really a con, because you have to clean everything that sits with water and all humidifiers have you know water, but I'll mention it since maybe you haven't ever owned a product that sits with water and therefore needs routine cleaningPros:- Fastest way to push water into the air and ensure it mixes- Humidity control system works and agrees with multiple other hygrometers (requires circulation/good mixing, etc)- Admittedly not as efficient as a whole home humidifier hooked up to central HVAC, but at a fraction of the price I can place this unit near central HVAC inlets and get the next best thing- My indoor gardening skills have magically improved

A great humidifier that can cover my whole apartment without cleaning it regularly. I normally add filtered water into it just to have it double secured. It is also safe to use for families with new borns thanks to the distillation sterilization function. Overall, a great product and highly recommend!

In this review, I'll talk about what this humidifier is compared to other humidifiers, and then I'll talk about the pros and cons the design. With humidifiers, you basically have three choices: ultrasonic, evaporative, and steam.Ultrasonic humidifiers have practically no output (in terms of volume of water per hour), they deposit dissolved solids all over the house, and put germs into the air (along with the mist they create). They're popular and cheap, but they're not very good.Evaporative humidifiers are the most efficient in terms of energy: 30 W to vaporize about 1 L/hour. You regularly need to change the wick, and add an anti-fungal chemical to the water. They're the best choice in hot and dry climates.Steam humidifiers are the least energy efficient (1kW to vaporize about 1L/hour). Energy efficiency doesn't matter in cold climates where you're heating the house anyway and you don't have a more efficient heating system (e.g., a heat exchanger). They disinfect themselves, but you do need to descale them regularly (once a week). They're the best choice in cold climates. So far, this thing works great. It's not too loud. Even on the lowest setting, it vaporizes a lot of water. It looks nice, which is a bonus. The twin bucket system makes it easy to fill while it's running. Descaling isn't too bad: just a tablespoon of citric acid in a liter of water and let the machine run for twenty minutes. I have to repeat that sometimes. It depends on how hard your water is, and how much you've run it since it's been descaled.Assuming that no parts need replacing, this humidifier is perfect.

Zufrieden damit!

was not too sure what to expect…It does produce a lot of steam mist and it does rise upwards..compared to other cool humidifiers.I was used to the large stadler form machines and having to change accessories and filters a lot and never getting over 40% in a 100 square metres roomNow i’m getting 50 to 50% and its off some of the time..Of course it uses a little more electricity due to the hot steam and does need washing out regularly. All in all pretty good…

Was looking for a humidifier for my apartment and found this that matched with the white interior of my home. Very effective, it comes with timing function that turns off automatically. Really recommend.

My son is having nose allergy problems and having a humid room helps reduce his symptoms.Originally I bought an ultrasonic humidifier from Costco during BF. I was not happy with its performance as it had a hard time boosting the humidity level to above 30%. So I returned it and bought this one instead after hearing a recommendation from my friend. So far I am satisfied with its performance.1. Its size is big... 2x bigger than the small ultrasonic one I bought before. This is good as it has more water tank capacity (less frequent water refill required) and is more powerful. I can see my living room's humidity level increases from 25% to 30% in less than 1 hour.2. Warm mist. It gives you a warm feeling which is more comfortable. It is not like the old ultrasonic one which you would worry about excess water/moisture damage to your flooring.Although I am a bit concerned about my hydro bill lol.Not much cleaning required so far. I think it also has something to do with the way the humidifier works (boil the water so that all the germs are killed).

I wanted to try a steam humidifier in our master bedroom this winter for a change. I've never been that happy with the cool-mist ones. They wear out fast, get moldy, leave residue all over the floor, and just don't seem to be able to reach the 50-60% RH level that I prefer for sleeping. This unit seems to be great. Been using it for a couple weeks now. I refill it every day or two. It will keep the room a humid as I want.It basically has three level setting (L,M,H), OR you can set one of three humidity settings (50, 60, 70%) and it will choose L, M, or H for you depending on RH in the room. I used a watt meter to measure power consumption, which is significant. L=350 watts, M=750 watts, and H=1000 watts. The fan speed does not vary at all, and may bit a bit too loud for some. I feel like I'm sleeping in business-class on a jet sort of sound. Not bad though, as it does drown out other ambient noises. But If you live in a very quiet place out in the sticks it may be too noisy for you. Also, there is the sound of the steam generator. When in H mode, you can hear it. Sounds like a boiling tea pot. Luckily, it goes back to a lower level after desired RH level is reached (unless you have it in manual mode). I keep it set for 60% and my RH meter a few feet away reads around 50%, which is good enough for me. Anyway, I recommend this unit unless you live in a place with high electricity prices. We're only at 15 cents/kWHr, but many are paying 40 cents now. Good luck!
