Besonders positiv überrascht war ich von der Kombination aus Funktionalität, durchdachtem Design und hochwertiger Verarbeitung.Schon beim Auspacken fällt die stabile Bauweise auf. Das wasserabweisende Material wirkt robust und langlebig, und auch die Reißverschlüsse laufen sauber und ohne zu haken. Die Möglichkeit, den Rucksack bei Bedarf zu erweitern – von 16 cm auf 22 cm Tiefe – ist besonders praktisch, wenn man am Ende der Reise etwas mehr mit nach Hause bringt als geplant.Ein echtes Highlight ist die 180°-Öffnung des Hauptfachs. Diese Funktion macht das Packen so angenehm wie bei einem Koffer. Man hat sofort alles im Blick und kann Ordnung halten, ohne lange zu kramen. Das große Hauptfach bietet ausreichend Platz für Kleidung, Kulturbeutel und sogar ein Paar Schuhe. Ergänzt wird das Ganze durch zahlreiche kleine Taschen, in denen sich Laptop, Ladegeräte, Reisedokumente und andere Kleinigkeiten sicher und griffbereit verstauen lassen.Der separate Laptopbereich ist gut gepolstert und nimmt problemlos Geräte bis 17 Zoll auf. Die Schultergurte sind bequem und schneiden nicht ein, selbst bei voller Beladung.Als Handgepäck für Flugreisen ist dieser Rucksack absolut geeignet. Wir haben den Rucksack für einen Kurztrip in eine Therme genutzt und waren wirklich positiv überrascht. Er sieht nicht nur modern aus, sondern ist auch super praktisch durchdacht. Besonders begeistert waren wir davon, dass er problemlos in die Spinde vor Ort gepasst hat – das ist bei normalen Reisekoffern ja oft ein Problem.Im Schwimmbad war der Rucksack ideal: Durch die vielen Fächer und das übersichtliche Design konnten wir unsere Sachen schnell und einfach zuordnen – kein lästiges Wühlen mehr! Das spart enorm Zeit und Nerven, vor allem wenn man mit mehreren Personen unterwegs ist. Die vielen Innen- und Außenfächer sowie das separate „Schubfach“ helfen dabei, alles ordentlich zu verstauen – von Kleidung über Kosmetik bis zu Snacks oder Technik.Wir sind zwar noch nicht geflogen (der Flug steht an Pfingsten an), aber im Zug und unterwegs hat der Rucksack bereits perfekt funktioniert. Er sitzt gut auf dem Rücken, ist angenehm zu tragen und wirkt dabei auch noch sehr robust und hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Möglichkeit, ihn bei Bedarf zu erweitern, ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt.Fazit: Ein super Reisebegleiter – durchdacht, leicht zu packen, passt überall rein und sieht dabei auch noch gut aus. Absolute Empfehlung!

This is a soft “suitcase” which can be worn on the back. There are three pieces in the order. Two of these are to organize materials inside the bag. It is made of surprisingly strong materials given the price. The adjustable straps which go over the shoulders are well padded across the shoulders. It is surprisingly comfortable. The bag has two padded handles. One on the top of the bag and one on a side.The main internal compartment is roughly 19 x 12 x 7 inches. It is lined on the inside with a soft cloth with a high thread count. The top which has a zipper around three sides allows the top to fold out flat. On the inside of the top are two compartments. One half of the top is a pocked with mesh on the internal side. There is a zipper to close the top of it. The other side of the top is a pocket of plastic material with a zipper to close it. I doubt it is waterproof but probably where items which might leak can be stored. I would be inclined to keep such items in zip bags just to double up the protection.There are three pieces in the order. They are the backpack and two organization bags which fit inside. One is approximately 10 x 17.5-inch flat bag with a zipper from one end to the other end in the center of one side. The bag is constructed with some sides that expands in the center but not on the ends, This is because the side material is pleated and at the ends the pleat is sewn tight. It has loop sewn on one end. It is about 8 inches of strap sewn to the bag to make a 4-inch loop. It is big enough it can be hung over a doorknob or hook. Perhaps it can be a laundry bag. The other bag is approximately 14 x 9.5 inches. It is about 3 inches deep. The top is mesh and the zipper goes around three sides so the top can fold back when it is open. The bottom of the main compartment has elastic straps that attach to a buckle in the middle, so the straps cross in an X pattern with the buckle in the center.All the buckles of the system are plastic side release or side squeeze buckles. They appear to be of good quality. There are three buckles on the bag. The one on the elastic in the main compartment and two external which are used on external straps to compress the bag to reduce the volume if it is not totally filled.On the outside of the top of the main compartment there are two zippered pockets. One is almost as large as the top. The other one is about half the length and is attached to the big pocket. Each of these have zippers for easy access to contents. The top compartment has five pockets. One is very large and is almost as large as the bag top. Four pockets are sewn to a side of the large pocket. Two in the center are small but long and sized for things shaped like pens and a smail flashlight. The other two are sized about the size of a hand and as deep as the length of the finger to half the palm. That is about the size of back pockets on most jeans. The smaller zippered compartment also has two internal pockets also about the size of jean pockets. The zippered cover of that smaller external pocket has a reflective strip about ¼ inch by five inches. When the bag is on the back that strip makes the black bag visible from reflected light.On one side of the outside of the bag there is a pocket with a bit of elastic at the opening. A one-liter water bottle fits fine.Below the bottom of the main compartment and accessible for the outside of the bag when not on the back is a large zipper closed pocket. The zipper runs up and down the water bottle side of the bag. Whatever goes inside this pocket will be felt on the back. It may be great for large maps. I think anything like a laptop would be too painful to have there. At the bottom of the back side of the bag there is a mesh covered pad. Between it and the bag main compartment there is also a pocket. Perhaps something soft might go there to increase padding. There are also two other padded areas covered with mesh just below the shoulders and over the shoulder blades. Together these make the bag comfortable when on the back. The shoulder straps also have mesh covered padding where they cross the chest breast area. On the outside of those padded shoulder straps are two straps on each. One runs the length of the shoulder strap and the other runs perpendicular to the long strap. On hiking back packs these are used as attachment points for adding small bags to the straps for handy things like a cell phone or a small camera or some snacks.I think this bag is fine for air traveling. It certainly will fit in almost any (every?) overhead compartment. It probably will fit under a seat depending on how the bag is packed.There is a long zipper which runs around most of the length of the sides of the bag. If it is unzipped, it adds about one and a quarter inch of height to the main compartment. I found this to be the worst feature of the bag because if it is ever unzipped it is very hard to get it zipped again. The pleated material must be carefully folded beneath the zipper and this is most difficult where the zipper goes around the corners of the bag. If that zipper is unzipped and the full volume of the bag is used it will be too large for smaller planes. Ifor examples itt will not fit under Spirit Airlines (max 18 x 14 x 8) or Ryanair (15.7 x9.8 x 7.8) seats. In fact, this 40 Liter bag is a large bag. It will not fit in the 18 x 14 x 8 of most airlines if fully filled. However, it is soft and I have seen large soft bags stuffed underneath seats when I thought there was no way.At the time I am reviewing this bag, the price is $39.99. I think it offers a lot of value for that price. I thinks it is more durable than most schoolbook type back bags I see selling for more.Lastly, this is not a hiking bag. A 40-liter bag that will be worn for hours in a day needs to have a waste belt that puts the weight on the top of the hip bones; not the shoulders. This bag does not have a waste belt. It is intended to be worn to get in and out of locations for periods of tens of minutes, not hours.

Mein rechtes Knie ist seit ein paar Jahren kaputt, weshalb es mir schwer fällt, Koffer hinter mir herzuziehen, weil ich mich beim Treppensteigen festhalten muss und mit beiden Füßen auf jede Stufe steigen muss.Erst war ich monatelang gezwungen, meine beruflichen Reisen mit Rucksack anzutreten, um die Hände für Krücken frei zu haben, heute wollte ich es nicht mehr missen, schon weil die Schultern gleichmäßig belastet werden.Der Nachteil ist: die Kleidung hat recht wenig Entfaltungsfreiheit.Das ist bei diesem Rucksack 🎒 andersDa man ihn komplett auseinanderhalten kann, kann man Wäsche gut gefaltet hineinlegen.Man kann ihn wahlweise als Koffer in die Hand nehmen, als auch als Rucksack tragen, wobei ein kleiner Mensch allerdings vor diesem sehr großen Rucksack 🎒 fast völlig verschwindet.Ich bin richtig glücklich, der ist genau der richtige für eine Reise mit Zug und Schiff, wo ich beide Hände zum Einsteigen frei haben muss, um mich am Geländer festzuhalten.Koffer nutzen dann wenig, sind aber meist größer und haben damit mehr Kapazität.Dieser feine Rucksack ist eine gelungene, richtig schöne große Kombination.Perfekt für mich. Insbesondere das Nassfach und die Möglichkeit das Gepäck festzuschnallen nebst Kleinteilebeutel und Schuhtasche ist klasse.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ich habe den Rucksack für einen Kurztrip angefordert und war echt positiv überrascht! Auf den ersten Blick wirkt er recht schlicht, aber er hat es echt in sich. Die 180°-Öffnung ist echt praktisch – wie ein kleiner Koffer zum Tragen. Das Gute daran ist, dass man sofort alles im Blick hat. So spart man sich das nervige Wühlen.Das erweiterbare Fach ist auch super, weil man ja nie weiß, ob man mehr einpacken muss als geplant (kommt ja nie vor 😅). Die verschiedenen Taschen sind super, um Ladegeräte, Snacks oder Reisedokumente zu verstauen.Und er ist auch noch richtig bequem! Die gepolsterten Gurte und das atmungsaktive Rückenteil machen selbst längere Wege am Flughafen oder durch die Stadt echt angenehm.Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Bei stärkerem Regen wird's etwas kritisch, also lieber zusätzlich was zum Abdecken mitnehmen. Für normalen Nieselregen reicht es aber locker.Ich denke, wir sind uns alle einig, dass es sich ideal für Wochenendtrips, Flugreisen mit Handgepäck oder auch als Alltagstasche für Vielpacker eignet. Stylisch, funktional und bequem – ich würde 4 von 5 Sternen vergeben!

I'm a huge fan of Lovevook & have a number of their bags. This isn't my favorite of the bags I own from them, primarily because of the choice to use a somewhat rough canvas style fabric rather than the nylon used on a similar travel backpack I own from the brand or even a smoother canvas with tighter weave. That information wasn't clear in the listing, and I wish it had been, as it was an immediate letdown when opening the package.Fabric choice aside, the bag is phenomenal & exactly what I was looking for. I love that the main compartment is expandable, allowing an extra 2"of depth when opened. This should be sufficient for a long weekend, assuming it doesn't require formal attire or multiple changes.There's a laptop sleeve running the length of the bag on the very back, and it's nicely padded so the corners shouldn't gouge you in the back even when the bag is completely stuffed.There are the usual pockets on the front as well, and the included bags are perfect for shoes or small amounts of dirty laundry.This would be an easy 5 stars if it were made of the wonderful nylon I prefer rather than the rougher canvas style fabric chosen - it's a sensory issue due to skin hypersensitivity, so very much a me issue & shouldn't impact most people. Highly recommend if you don't have stupidly sensitive skin that reacts to this type of fabric.

This bag is stellar! So much so, that I started shopping other bags by the same brand. This is highly durable material, you can feel it from the moment you pick it up, it has the weight of quality material to it. The zippers are heavy duty and zip/unzip very smoothly. The capacity in this is AWESOME! We were able to pack the items for 3 people in this one bag for an overnight trip. This thing feels like it's going to outlast every other bag I have. Usually, the quality of things you get online is so-so or poor, this blew me away. Truly, this is a quality piece. Lots of compartments, comes with a couple of extra organizer bags for inside. If you only need one bag that is going to last you, this just might be the bag for you! Don't hesitate on this one, it is a very good value and great quality -- get it!

Although the page for this backpack shows only the 40L and 50L options, at the time I ordered a 42L size option in black/gray was in stock and available. Thus, my review is for the 42L size, which still fits under the seat in front on an airplane. I ordered this 42L model for my husband.I've tried to determine what the difference is between the 40L and 42L, and it might (not certain) be in the expansion and length, as my 42L expansion is to 9", whereas the 40L expands only to 8.5" and the 42L length seems to be 19.5" versus the 19" length of the 40L. So that extra little bit in length and expansion might add up to the 2 liter difference. Otherwise, they appear identical - I don't see any visible difference in the exterior or inner compartments.I have a 40L Lovevook backpack in a different version that I ordered in 2023 and continue to use to this day, it has held up remarkably well. This 42L Lovevook model - which is now my husband's travel backpack - is definitely more rugged in appearance with a rougher texture to the two-tone fabric, and a tad more round at the corners. My 40L Lovevook opens like a suitcase to the side. This 42L model (as well as the 40L and 50L versions of this model) also opens like a suitcase, but it opens from the end/bottom. When opening against a wall I'm not sure there is really a difference between a side opening suitcase and a bottom opening suitcaseAnother feature that I appreciate on this model is the larger bottle holder; it can accommodate sizes greater than the traditional 16.9 ounce tall and slender plastic bottle.The only weak point on this backpack is the zipper pulls, they aren't large enough nor have a hole in them to run a traditional combination lock. They might - might - be able to allow a small lock with a smaller cable point to go through the hole in the pull, but it would have to be about the size of a head on a pair of tweezers. For those who always carry a backpack on the back and never check it through, this would be a non-issue.At a current price of $30- (there's a 50% discount on the current price of $59.98 I believe it to be a good value and I'm sure my husband would agree.

Extra large and extra special in several ways! This 40L extra large expandable backpack is a little different from the other Lovevook backpacks we have... and love! This one expands like an expandable suitcase, so if you just can't quite get all of your stuff in the regular 40L, this one might be what you need! It comes with an extra large packing cube and an extra large shoe bag (see what I mean by EXTRA?!). It has all the nifty features that Lovevook puts in all of their products - plenty of zippered pockets to accommodate everything you might want to pack, cinch straps to squeeze it down so it will fit in the overhead, and padded straps. It has the side handle which is great for carrying it like a suitcase, and it has a large water bottle/tumbler pocket on one side. Currently this backpack is on sale for 50% off the regular priced of $59.98 - which is a GREAT bargain!! If you're thinking of trying a backpack vs a suitcase, now is the time! Do it!
