They made a huge improvement on my laser engraver. A bit fiddily to install and you have to figure out how to route the cables, but it's very nice having the ability to automatically home the laser. I also added an air assist and a laser pointer.

I got this to upgrade my Joy Spot 10W laser for easier start point calibration. Everything seems to be correct except for one connector that doesn't match up to my laser's connectors. Hopefully I can get it working as this is a great upgrade to have.

After I got them installed they work great no problems with them.

I can’t really review this item properly since I bought it by mistake. It is clearly labeled as a LONGER RAY5 laser engraver accessory so the error was entirely mine. It looked like a pair of nice limit switches and a wiring harness so I planned to use it with a different system which I will be able to do. The limit switches are indeed very good and come complete with a bolt and t-nut already installed which fits perfectly in the slot of any 20 mm extrusion. The sliding nut attachment and the 3 pin connectors make installation and adjustment simple. The wiring harness also appears to be very good quality but the multiple wiring connection locations and fittings are obviously very specific to the LONGER RAY5 system. So I can’t evaluate its performance in its intended use, but the kit is clearly good quality and if you are looking for a limit switch kit for that specific engraver then this should work well.

The limit switches are a must-have upgrade for the Longer Ray 5. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. You must upgrade the controller firmware for the limit switches to work. The firmware upgrade was a breeze. Now I can use Absolute Coordinates in Lightburn.
