I have a DIY router inside an electrical box. My previous iteration had a non-PoE switch that was powered by the mini PC's USB port. This was great because only one power cord was needed to power the whole box.When I switched out the switch for a PoE version, it needed more power than the PC. This PoE splitter is perfect! The PC needed a max of 12v 3a or 36 watts. The 30 watts coming from the switch is more than enough to power the PC. I needed a splitter that didn't give off a ton of heat and could output 30 watts at 12v.I highly recommend this splitter for it's quality and reliability. At $35, it's in the mid range of prices but is still worth it.
