As a certified yoga teacher, I highly recommend this book. It's a classic, very detailed and trustworthy. Mr. Iyengar gives you clear step-by-step instructions and his pictures are helpful too. A staple for everyone deepening his practice.

This book is similar to the previous book written by the author and just as detailed. it is not a fast read unless your familiar with sanskrit or hindi, but that is the main point of reading this book, it is to learn about a different culture, its terms and definations that are often lost in translation. This book certainly makes clear the concepts and ideas of Pranayama. I would suggest reading "Light on Yoga" first, as this book builts on the principles given in that one.

As a yoga student I found the different techniques of Pranayama difficult to understand.This book was the best source for me to really understand Pranayama.Great for Yoga teachers in training and for any yoga student simply wanting to broaden their practice.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed from the delivery service.The package was left outside under the rain, all day long, which has damaged the book, with a super bad quality.The book itself it's the best, I've already read it once. Highly recommend it.

This is not updated edition, but old one. I got cheeted. However, concernint the content, the book is quite good guide for the beginners in the skills of breathing.
