Our cats really enjoyed eating food from these mats (we bought several), but the gridded one in particular was a pain in the behind to clean. Food would get stuck in the sharp corners and became harder to clean the longer we waited to do so after the meal was over. The one with other patterns are much better, although I still recommend soaking them before attempting to wash, or washing right after use, before leftover bits have a chance to dry.

My cat has licking, over grooming issues and this mat was recommended to me to satisfy her need to lick. This one is for small kibble. I don’t know if she is having to do much licking to get her food but she prefers it over her bowls. The mat looks like it’s been licked so we’re both happy with it. I don’t see any reason to buy the heavy version. It stays in place on the floor, no sliding

I received my Lickimats today, both were the Playdate style. My cats took to them right away and seemed to enjoy eating a different way from their usual bowls. I was hoping they'd get into the tight places because that's the point, the challenge of getting every bit of the food is supposed to be enjoyable for them. Fingers crossed they return to their Lickimats to finish off the remaining bits and pieces, but if they don't I'm still going to use these as I won't have to buy those expensive paper bowls anymore. I have yet to see how easy they'll be to clean, but I imagine if they're soaked in square container, maybe they can just be rinsed off. I really like the bright color choices. I think Lickimats is a really cool concept.

I got one of each LikiMat since I have 3 cats. I tried it out for a month. I'm using them as trivets now which is fine with me. I know some reviewers found them difficult to clean, the extent of my difficulty is that I either soaked it first or ran the water harder than I normally would. It didn't matter which mat it was, my cats just ate what was right on the surface and never bothered with what was in the nooks and crannies. Going back to their usual shallow glass bowls.
