Bien cordialement.Olivier--------------------------Hello,Order and delivery all went well, but the rollers of the development kits were full of powder, especially the magenta color (see attached photos). I suppose they were shaken a lot during transport.I changed the entire image processing without difficulty in my printer, but the print is completely overexposed in color and in particular by the magenta color (see examples: Only pure black and white printing does not contain any trace of mangenta).Do you think that this will gradually disappear if I use my printer? Is there a risk of damage to my printer? What do you suggest I do? In any case my printer is almost unusable (except in black and white).Waiting for your return. Best regards.Olivier

Recently replaced my Black & Color Imaging Kit for a Lexmark CX410DE. It was actually pretty easy, and this kit comes with the important 'innards' of the printer: new drums and developer units for all colors (CMY) and black (K). The print quality is back to new, so there's not much to say about this...it was a success. Here are some important tips from what I learned:1) I don't like it, but I am used to this printer performing a hard stop (and no longer printing) when the toner cartridges run out. So, when the printer started giving a warning that the imaging unit life was getting low, I immediately ordered another one so I wouldn't be dead in the water like you are when toner runs out. I *later* found out, however, that it starts warning you with a huge number of copies left (like 8-10K or something). For me, it ended up being TEN MONTHS worth of printing before I finally decided to change it (so keep this in mind).2) After ordering it, I ALSO found out that the imaging kit is not a 'hard stop' item on my printer, like the toner I described above. You can access the printer via it's IP address and change the setting for what to do when the imaging kit 'runs out'. So, I set it for 'warning' instead of 'stop'. This actually let me continue to run the printer with no issue past the point that it told me that replacement was required.3) These imaging kits are rated for 40K copies. I started getting a warning in the 20K's. I didn't check, but I think the printer told me that it needed to be replaced at approx 30K. I continued to run it for another few thousand copies, simply because the print looked fine. I replaced mine at ~32K, but the print quality was still very acceptable. I only did it because i've had this new kit now for close to a year, and I was worried about its shelf life. Next time, knowing #1 and #2 above, I'll definitely keep using it long past the warning, and long past the 'needs replacement', and wait to order a new one until the print quality degrades significantly. I suspect that using this strategy, that I'll get closer to the 40K rating, and not 32K like this time.4) Finally, the instructions are not very clear on this, but when you are replacing it, you want to have the new imaging kit exposed to light as little as possible while you are installing it. I closed the blinds and turned off the lights once I removed the new one from its foil pouch. It isn't critical to work in the dark, or anything, just work as quickly as possible and don't stop for a break in the middle of that step. That's it...hope all that helps you!!
