Somehow I expected more of this. It's too close to Winsor & Newton for me, which for a lot of people will be a good thing, but for my work, not good enough. Decent quality, but my paintings lack depth, it's all a bit flat, not good for artwork. Good enough for illustrations and design work, but not for more artistic paintings.

These paints are very pure, containing finely ground pigments that produce excellent, vibrant mixes that aren't muddy. They work well in both thin washes and thicker applications. They re-wet easily and can be applied to a variety of white or coloured surfaces. Although there are only four colours (plus black and white), it's possible to mix a full range of colours from this well chosen group and doing so is a great exercise for any artist... put that colour theory to the test!
