The pen has a fill in it and comes with an extra of the same tip. The pen is ready to use.Installation/setup: Remove protective cap over the tip and use to write. Cap when done.Final thoughts: The tip is very flexible and can make varied marks of different widths. The ink is very black and the pen itself feels nice in the hand. The cap sits on the back to make it a regular size pen but when capped it is more compact. The pen has a pocket clip that holds very well. I like this for sketching, it has possibilities I am eager to explore. I am hoping that, with practice, I won’t have to carry multiple pens to get various lines. I like it and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.
