I'm a big fan of polarised sunglasses - they remove the glare much better than regular shades. But they can be quite expensive, especially for named brands. In a moment of weakness I once bought an expensive designer pair but I honestly found them no better quality than cheap ones, and they got immediately stolen when I left them somewhere for a minute. I now only get non-branded ones which can still be quite pricey. So I was surprised to see this pair at such a cheap price.These are genuinely polarised and come with a little tester card so you can be check for yourself. The arms have a light spring action to them so they hold shut well, and a soft black drawstring bag is provided to keep them in. The nose clip and arm ends are made of black rubbery plastic and not quite as comfortable as the softer material you get on more expensive glasses. They are about as optically clear as any other make of sunglasses, i.e. good enough, but you will see a little bit of optical wobble as you scan through the full range of the lens. I had this also on the expensive designer ones I once bought, never again!These are certainly good enough as a 2nd pair of sunglasses, if not as your main pair, if (like me) you tend to break or scratch your sunglasses and have to replace them fairly regularly.

I really love these. They are nice and dark for the odd day of sunshine we get in England... Plus I took them to sunnier places and they fared well. I like that they are very lightweight on my face and also quite big in that they cover a lot of face space so I can be mysterious! They arrived with a little soft case and cloth. They are ideal for me, I think they really suit me style wise. I recommend them.

Of the several sunglasses that I’ve tried on recently, I think these are my preferred ones. I like the fact that all the materials and parts of which they are made (including, unusually, the nose pads) are … black. More importantly, however, is that they feel comfortable when worn, and there is no distortion through the lenses. I also like the fact that the arms are spring-loaded, and that the lenses are polaroid ones.This is the first pair of sunglasses I’ve seen that come with a ’Product Manual’, which is maybe not as daft as it might seem: as well as some general information, the leaflet explains that these glasses have a category 3 filter – and explains what the various filter categories actually are. There’s a little ‘polarized tester’ card which also summarises some useful information, plus a carrying bag for the glasses too. And everything comes in a neat little box, which I suppose makes this a useful candidate as a possible gift to someone. Happy to recommend.
