Awesome gift! We love fondue at restaurants so I bought some fondue cheese at the grocery store and we needed a way to eat it! These mugs were perfect and got plenty hot. I wiped the mug with garlic confit oil before putting the cheese it. It’s a quick and easy way to make a dinner or snack special! Mugs have been run through the dishwasher multiple times now with no issues as well.

Wasn't certain about buying these after reading such mixed reviews. But we so enjoyed our experience. The tea light candles worked perfectly, burned well and kept the fondue bubbling. As the candle burns you do have to be careful not to tilt the cup as the wax will spill. This makes for wax cleanup around the bottom of the cup. Other than that very happy with the product. Wish I knew where they were made. Buy USA!

I like these a lot, the concept was so cool and it was a spur of the moment purchase.I used multiple candles underneath the first time and that was a mistake, the concave provides enough heat for one candle, and interestingly the airflow will not keep 3 lit anyways. But more than one will begin to burn the bottom so follow their instructions (I am a bad user for these things)i did chip the side of one of them while washing in my sink so less on the thickness

I was so pleased when this arrived today. It was just the pick me up I needed today. I set it up and scrounged for cheese and bread, not perfect choices but all I had was cheap shredded cheese I had a little trouble with the candle but it stayed lit. Within 5-10 min the cheese was melting but the consistency was off. I added a little whiskey which worked great. I’m very pleased. I will get better cheese and I think white wine All in all I’m pleased with the purchase so far

The concept is great: having individualized mugs for fondue. One person can put whichever spices and flavors they want into their cheese fondue, or for example one person can eat cheese fondue while the other enjoys chocolate fondue. The concept in that sense is great.The design of the double vent is also great, because to speed up the heating time, I was able to place 2 tea lights and the fondue was all melted and ready to eat probably in about 20 minutes or so (taking cheese from room temperature, though). It really didn't take too long. We did take care to mix the cheese frequently, so we didn't have a problem with cheese sticking to the sides.HOWEVER, after a single use, the paint starts chipping off. We finished the cheese and were cleaning the mugs, and as we were about to put them on the drying rack, we noticed that the paint and some of the mug itself started to chip in a couple of places! We were very gentle and didn't even scrub intensely or anything (definitely didn't hit it on anything), and the chipping occurred in a couple of places. I could maybe understand a small chip in a single place in case for example we overlooked something (even though we were very careful), but not in a couple of places and on BOTH mugs. This is definitely a manufacturing flaw. Actually, it even makes me question whether the mug may have chipped during the eating process... we didn't notice it until only after cleaning, but we didn't treat it any differently while washing!For that reason, the chipping makes the mugs unusable, even though it's a cool concept. After the first time, the mugs were already chipped in a couple of places. The only reason why I give two stars is because it's a cool concept and we were able to greatly enjoy the mugs once. Not worth it though since it's a "one-use" deal.
