I make accessories with jump rings. I broke my expensive Tronex pliers because I was using them on the wrong wire gauge. So, I needed something to replace them quickly.I ordered and received these Knipex pliers at about half the cost, and they actually work perfectly for the gauge I use. The only problem for me is that they have a very subtle textured surface which scratches my soft aluminum rings. That is not the fault of the pliers, of course, so there is no reason to deduct a star. I simply sanded the texturing off and now they work just fine for my purposes!

Absolutely excellent quality and feel. Really nice tool. I bought this after the Knipex diagonal cutters. I use them for microwave systems electronics work and quality hand tools are a must.

Beautifully made, beautifully machined, excellent for assembling chain mail kits with smaller to medium links. Not for super heavy duty use, or misuse, but nicely precise, for jewelry-caliber applications. These fit comfortably in a medium hand.
