Unfortunately all parts have chips or missing paint, the bar is not one piece as shown in photos. The bar is two pieces and nested together with a bolt. The base that mounts to the ceiling is also warped.

If you have the tools to mount this bar, it is a pretty straightforward process, just be sure to measure twice and drill once. Grab a sharpie, a level, stepladder, and a buddy to get started. I'll assume installation went well, and now you may notice the design flaw of this system? The center bar - the one you grip to do your pullups - is two pieces, with one screw holding them together in the center. Even with flawless installation, there is a never-to-be-recovered 'give' in the center bar. I understand that shipping one piece at a full length would be more of a challenge, but to compromise the whole idea for it seems like a poor choice. With that said, I haven't had any issues with it staying connected, but it will be something on my mind as I exercise.

My kids and I do a lot of pull ups. We've been using a doorway bar, but I wanted a permanent option so they can do a set whenever they think about it. I mounted this in the basement to the floor joists. It adjusts up (for me) or down for the kids. It's nice not to worry about forgetting the doorway bar being left up or where to store it when not in use. This is very sturdy and just a great basic pull up bar for chin ups, pull ups, and leg/knee raises.
