The thimble wasn’t very comfortable so I don’t think I’ll ever use it. But it looks the same as in the photo. However they sent me the order from the UK without paying for customs fees. The fees were incredibly expensive, and I find this practice rather scammy considering every single other Amazon seller I’ve ever used has covered the customs fees themselves. They shouldn’t be selling on Amazon under these conditions without stating so. I will never buy from this seller again.

Je déteste les dés à coudre (déteste...) mais celui-ci est idéal pour le quilting! De plus, il est adaptable donc si on a envie de changer de doigt, no problemo. A conseiller

Super teil. Man kann es genau an den finger anpassen. Die finger püren ihn gar nicht. Finger schwitzen auch nicht.

Not used this yet, but have tried it on and it is very good. This will be staying in my sewing box for good.

Der Fingerhut ist eine tolle Konstruktion und ist hervorragend in der Anwendung, denn er kann durch seine offene Oberseite prima an den Finger angepasst werden. Durch die vordere Lippe, ähnlich einem Fingernagel, kann die Nadel perfekt geführt werden.

I have not tried them all, but of all I've tried (about 15 different varities) this is my favorite. It is adjustable, fits my finger best, doesn't fall off, and it also allows for longer nails. It's very comfortable to use. My only problem is finding the one I have. I generally work on several projects at once and it's always with the one I'm not working on. So I'm buying a couple more - Voilà - problem fixed.There are similar open sided thimbles to this that are lined with a silicone layer but it doesn't slide on nicely (since there is silicone), and those just feel thick and awkward. I've even tried those thin bands which are also lined with silicone but my needle always ends up where they are not. Ouch! I've tried the standard metal round thimbles we all grew up with which have never fit and fall off. I never figured out how people used those. Glue maybe? I've tried several leather thimbles which I do like, but they can be a bit thick and I spend more time trying to keep them on my finger than I do sewing.I'm finished searching for and trying out new thimbles. I found one that works great for me. This is it!
