I replaced this as part of a three step process of replacing all the speed control mechanisms. This was incredibly easy to replace. I had this out and the new one installed in less than 5 minutes. One screw to remove the back cover. 2 screws and 4 wire ends to get room to move the speed controller. Then, I used a needle nosed pliers to pull the old governor off. To replace it with the new one I used a nut driver and tapped it into place with a rubber mallet. Put the speed controller back in place, and put the 4 wire ends back on. Tightened the 2 screws back to where they were. Put the back cover on and replaced its screw. Job done. 5 minutes. Anyone can do this, don't be intimidated!
