We needed to update an old KLN89b GPS. We tried a different USB to serial port adapter. GPS was unable to communicate to windows 11 computer. We then bought the Tripp-Lite USA-19HS Keyspan adapter, worked great. We updated driver as the instructions for the adapter stated, it connected with very little no issues. There was a windows security we had to turn off to get the driver to work.

The serial adapter arrived when expected and works perfectly when connected between a laptop and an amateur terminal node controller.

Was having issues with the USB connection for my vinyl plotter, it was completely unusable, this item allowed me to use the keyspan connection instead which works perfectly
