I wear a size 14, ordered a size L, and they're VERY tight. Size 14 is pretty average in the U.S., and shouldn't require an XL. Also expected more of a purple color, but these are basically maroon.

These are the perfect gym shorts. Or if you like the atheleisure style. They’re thick enough to not show your panty color, but not a winter weight material. In every direction, the stretch is amazing! They’re true to size. Im curvy and wear a size 8 jeans and got a medium. I’m 5’2 and they fall comfortably a little under my belly button so they’re high enough waisted to cover when I squat but not so high they meet my sports bra. The waist band stays in place while working out (even on leg day) so no rolling. They have a nice little pocket on the back band. The material is very soft. They come about 2in above my knee. I’ll be buying more, great staple!
