I really like the 3d effect on photo and video, but there are a few things I dislike, getting the videos on to YouTube is not as easy as it should be, this is because YouTube as blocked the app and device from directly uploading to YouTube because it says the app is trying to access sensitive information. There is no lense cover to protect the lenses other than a bag. The auto focus is not great when you film something like a dog which is running about. The battery life uses about 1% every few seconds.I bought it to view on the meta quest, but it very difficult to get the photos on the headset, there must be an easier way, you download from the app into iPhone, then wait for the iPhone to sync with iCloud. Use a browser to access iCloud on the quest, then download into files. Viewing in side by side works on quest tv, but you don’t get the immersive experience I was expecting. Viewing in 180 3D works but everything is too close and not really viewable.Using the viewer gives the best results, and everyone I have shown it to are blown away by the quality.

QooCam Ego.I'll start off with the likes first because there isn't many of them. The size is great. Picture quality overall is fantastic especially when viewed through a VR headset. Really nice pictures. Now for the things I'm not happy with. The battery life is abysmal. Literally. You can see the counter going down really fast. The camera gets very warm when using it due to the battery heating up. You have to keep shutting it down in order to preserve battery life. The camera gets even hotter if your using the WIFI or hotspot link to your phone. Seriously something wrong here. The battery release cover leaves something to be desired. You need strong nails to open the battery compartment. There is NO lens protector. For a camera this expensive you would have thought they would include one.You need to buy a camera case as well to protect your investment. The software isn't all that good for a camera of this price. The controls for everything including navigation are extremely stiff. You literally have to press down hard on a control to get any functionality. For this price, I would have expected better design and quality, but I am satisfied with the overall pictures that this camera produces. It's a new innovation for the VR world and can only get better.I hope the manufacturer's read this and take note. Battery life and standby for any digital camera is essential.Update.The camera is so slow to boot up your gonna miss that shot.Connecting a USB cable to the camera doesn't always bring up the option menu to transfer files. So frustrating. Going to 3 stars until these software problems are sorted out.Update 2Autofocus is absolutely horrible.I lost around 50 % of my photo takes due to blurry unfocused images whilst in autofocus. I didn't realise until I viewed them at home through my VR headset how bad they were. Lost a lot of nice shot opportunities.I think it's best to keep it on infinity unless your intentionally going to do macros. Losing a star for that.
