If I have to use paper, I prefer using colorful paper. I usually buy a variety of colors and sizes of legal pads to use at work, at home, and in classes. These pads come in pretty colors, and I like that they are made in the US.These are very nice pads. They are 8x11” and fit inside the portfolio I use for class notes. The paper is thick, standard weight, but it is incredibly smooth. It feels like a high quality stationary. You can easily write on both sides because there is no bleed through. The back of the pad is sturdy enough to write on like a clipboard. The pages are perforated, easy to tear off, but remain solidly attached until you need to. These are wide rule, but I don’t use lines and just write small, so that doesn’t matter to me. This is a great set of notepads with the bonus of being in pretty colors!

I like these pads, it is good quality paper that doesn't bleed through very easy. However, I feel they are a tad expensive for what they are. These are wide-ruled, not college-ruled, and while the paper is fairly mid-weight it is by no means a "luxury" paper....the price should reflect that, regardless of color. While the florals on the cover is pretty, it only covers half of the front cover with a bunch of text as well. Kind of detracts from the art on the cover, would be better if the art covered the entire front and the text was a lot less and smaller. Then I could see charging this much. As it is, they are too expensive IMO. If the price isn't an issue for you, I would recommend these but I won't order them again.

The variety of colors for these legal pads is fun: yellow, blue, pink. I could see using them in an office for color-coded uses per department or per topic, but I am just using them at home to work on my doctoral dissertation. They have a nice cover page to keep the following pages cleaner. The wide-ruled lines are visible without being distracting. The micro-perforation makes tearing off pages with dumb ideas (or things the boss shouldn't see) easy. I don't know the weight of the pages, but it seems substantial enough to absorb coffee drips or angry tears that stem from more negative feedback from your dissertation chair or that guy in HR. Highly recommend.
