I've been using these for cats I've owned for years, as my mum has before me, and it seems to (whether it's real or placebo quite frankly) do a wonderful job. A squirt a week as a Saturday treat for each of my cats, and we've yet to see a furball since they were (in my eyes) old enough to start taking the stuff.They also fight like mad when this bottle comes out. I have to be quick to get a good lump on both of my index fingers, and give it to the 2 Toms I have, doing it one cat at a time doesn't work. Even the Alpha Tom gets a beating from his brother if I try that - it's very well received as a result of it's sticky malty taste.That said, one was not keen initially. The advise given by Johnsons to pop the blob on a paw (and they'll instantly force themselves to lick it off) works well. If you have a cat (or a kitten in the case of mine - he was about 5mo at the time) start that way - you may find it actually grows on them and it's the fact that it's sticky and NOT the taste that puts them off. The first few goes weren't received well, but on the 5th go I locked his brother out, popped the blob on my finger, and just sat and waited (you have to be patient with this neurotic little fella). 5 mins later, and he'd realised if he just got on with it, he could do it on his terms, not have to lick his fur clean, and enjoy himself. So if you DO have haters, be patient, and start with a dollop on the paw and build up from there!
