These pirate boots look pretty good once they are buckeld in. The material and straps feels like a thin faux leather that has me a bit worried about durability. The buckles seem to hold up well to tension even as I tried to squeeze my giant calves into the boots. The many positioned straps and buckles give a great deal of custom fits for different wearers. The soles could use an upgrade though, as walking around feels like you have very little comfort between you and the bottom of the boots. Overall it feels on par the the price.

I initially bought these for a Halloween costume but have since started using them when I go riding on my harley as they are surprisingly comfortable and sturdy. Not to mention they're quite stylish. They fit perfectly only recommendation is to get some insoles as they can be rough on the feet after walking for a while. Good value for the cost overall.

Our young adult son is very much into cosplay and his most recent interest is an upcoming Renaissance Fair. We put together a period correct outfit to give to him as a gift. The only item we were missing….the boots of course!This pair of boots are very sharp! They arrived securely packaged in a box from the factory. The leather is very fine quality and its polished to a nice shine. The buckles not only look cool, they are fully functional as they are the way the boots are tightened once you have them on.Our son where’s a size 12 shoe and his feet are slightly wide. I could not find anywhere on the listing as to the width of these boots,If your in the market for a pair of Renaissance or Private boots may I recommend this pair by Jiuguva. Yes, they are expensive, $56.99 at the time of this review. But you get what you pay for. These period correct boots will last for years as long as they are properly cared for during that time. I personally love the look of them and highly recommend them!
