I love coloring flowers. This book is beautiful. Can't wait to use it.

There's a lot to really like about this adult coloring book. To begin with, it's a decent size and there are a lot of pages available on a spiral binding which is really a lovely touch. It comes with a blotting card-stock type page (to help prevent bleed-through if you use media other than colored pencils). The mandala designs are meditative and calming, fairly intricate but with very fine outlines and -- thankfully -- not filled with pre-shaded areas, allowing the person enjoying the book to be fully creative in their own ways.Something to consider if you're thinking of getting this for someone else, is that there are a LOT of very small designs within those lovely intricacies that necessitate using fine-tipped markers or pens. I do not personally see that as a drawback, but it may be for some people. (I actually got this for my mother, as a way to include her when I'm enjoying my own adult coloring books and to encourage her to meditatively focus while exercising fine motor skills.)The only real drawbacks are that 1) the pages aren't very thick (to my mind, like thinner card-stock), so colored markers and pens definitely will have some degree of bleed-through, making using the blotting page a necessity; and 2) the pages aren't perforated at the top, so if you're particularly happy with a design and want to display it you can't easily and gently tear it out (we carefully tore it off the spiral then used a ruler and utility knife on the crafting table to get a nice straight edge at the top). Overall though, this is definitely nicely giftable, we're very happy with it and definitely recommend.

Good for the price but the patterns are similar and quite small so consider this if purchasing.

The illustrations in the book are to quality. The book itself is excellent in that the pictures are perforated and tear out but beside that it's difficult to choose which ones to colour as they're are so many fantastic illustrations. I bought one for a friend who also colours and she loves it too. I will be looking for more like this book. Highly recommend.
