There are also two laundry aids: Color Remover which will remove or lighten a color and brighten whites and Sun Blocker which, when added to the wash cycle will penetrate clothing and block harmful UV rays from the sun. iDye comes in a packet that dissolves in water which means there is no handling of messy dye powders. Just throw the dye packet in add salt and run through the wash cycle. It is ultimately the easiest way to get gorgeous color! Packets weigh 14 gms and will dye 2-3 pounds of fabric each.

Hat leider nur halb gut gefärbt. Ein Teil hat die Farbe angenommen, ein Teil nicht. Sehr fleckig... Die Arbeit und das Geld waren somit umsonst. Außerdem leidet das Material schon sehr unter der Hitze.

Mit der Farbe habe ich meine Keycaps gefärbt, da pbt angeblich auch funktionieren soll. Die tasten, die ursprünglich weiß waren, wurden tatsächlich gefärbt, jedoch leider relativ fleckig. Ich habe mit unterschiedlichen temperaturen und zeiten experimentiert, leider ohne erfolg. Ich benutze sie aber trotzdem, es hat irgendwie was :)

I used the violet IDye Poly this is the results I got for only boiling them for only 30mins.I took a few before and after shots but forgot to take a before of the top so I included the online shop photo of the colour it was before.As you can see the bras were a poly/cotton blend in some places but I think it made them more interesting. The photos of the boiling were taken after they had only been in the pot for 5mins. It's very quick to dye to a lighter shade but the longer you leave it the darker the result.All in all it is a very good product for dying synthetics no matter what colour you started with if you are trying to dye it darker you will get a good result.If you are wanting to get all over even colour when dying mixed fabrics ie. polyester or any other man made fabric and cotton or any other natural fabric I would suggest buying the ploly dye and the natural fabrics dye and add them both to the pot.I hope this helps anyone thinking about buying it.

Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. Ich war erst ziemlich skeptisch, da ich noch nie Polyester gefärbt habe und gelesen hatte, dass das nur mit dieser speziellen Farbe und im Kochtopf erfolgversprechend ist.Dann kam nur dieses kleine Tütchen Farbe, 14g hatte ich überlesen;0) Sollte das reichen?Ich befürchtete, dass der Topf hinterher total verfärbt ist, fand dazu aber keine Antwort im Internet.Da ich keinen alten so großen Topf hatte, riskierte ich den Verlust meines großen sauberen Topfes. Schließlich wollte ich ein Kleid für mich tragbar machen, da es eine Farbe hatte, die gar nicht zu mir passt.Das Kleidungsstück muss genug Platz im Topf haben. Obwohl für das Kleid sehr viel Wasser nötig war, wurde es trotz der klein wirkenden Farbmenge ein schöner dunkler Farbton der Färbeflüssigkeit.Das Kleidungsstück muss vollständig mit köchelnder Flüssigkeit bedeckt sein, aller paar Minuten umgerührt.Das Ganze ließ ich dann 1h auf dem Herd. Danach hab ich das Ganze in der Wanne ausgespült und das Kleid in der Waschmaschine gewaschen. Das Ergebnis ist super. Die Farbe ist gleichmäßig und intensiv, der Farbton wie er versprochen war. Und Topf und Wanne waren mit Scheuermilch leicht zu reinigen. ;0)

Es hat die Sportleggins gut gefärbt, gleichmäßig. Hatte es zuvor mit einem anderen Mittel versucht, das gar nicht funktioniert hat.

Ravi de ce produit. Je l'ai commandé pour teindre un chemisier 100% polyester. Après avoir lu les différents avis, j'ai tenté le coup en machine à 95°. J'ai d'abord fait bouillir de l'eau et mélanger les deux produits dans un verre en plastique puis j'ai mis le produit dans le bac à lessive. Le résultat est impeccable. Le plus c'est que je partais d'un chemisier blanc que je voulais teindre en violet. Après j'ai fais tourner ma machine en cycle court à vide et avec de ma lessive et aucun problème! Et en plus la livraison à été plus rapide que prévu!!!

Ich habe mit iDye Poly Tastaturkappen aus ABS-Plastik gefärbt. Funktioniert nur mit dem Intensifier. Zuerst einen Teil der Farbe in ein Glas geben (das man anschließend nicht mehr für Lebensmittel verwenden will), dann 80 °C heißes Wasser. Jetzt solange mit einem Holstab oder weichem Plastikstab rühren, bis sich die Farbe aufeglöst hat. Spätestens jetzt sollte man das Fenster öffnen. Nun eine kleine Menge des Intensifiers hinzugeben und wieder umrühren. Jetzt kommen die sauberenn Plastikteile aus ABS-Plastik hinzu (die Wasser-Farbmischung sollte nun nicht mehr heißer als 70 °C sein). Ab jetzt nur noch sehr vorsichtig rühren um Kratzer zu vermeiden (das Plastik ist in dieser Mischung empfindlicher, weil der Intensifier das Plastik angreift). Einwirkzeit 5 bis 10 Minuten (alle 1 bis 2 Minuten leicht umrühren). Um die Temperatur des Gemisches über die Zeit stabil bei ca 50 bis 60 °C zu halten, habe ich das Glas auf die Heizung gestellt (auf dem Herd mit Kochtopf sind die Temperaturschwankungen zu hoch; und ABS fängt an sich zu verformen). Anschließend alles unter fließend Wasser direkt in dem Glas auspühlen, bis das Wasser klar ist.Ich habe während dieser Aktion Handschuhe für chemische Risiken getragen. Nur das abwaschen der Tastaturkappen mit Spühlmittel und Vollwaschmittel habe ich dann ohne Handschuhe gemacht.Ich gebe nur einen Stern Abzug dafür, weil die Handhabung schwieriger ist, wenn man nicht die gesamte Menge der Farbe verwenden möchte bzw. kann und der Geruch extrem ist. Auch 2 Monate danach riecht das Plastik noch leicht. Ich habe die Tastaturkappen nach dem Färben mehrmals mit Spühlmittel und Vollwaschmittel bei lauwarmen Wasser handgewaschen um den Geruch zu reduzieren.Violett scheint die ggü. Orange und Turquoise sehr gleichmäßig zu färben. Möglicherweise fäbren dunklere Farben von iDye Poly generell besser als die helleren.

Home dying is a tricky process. I have done it before with varying success. You need the right tools and setup to do it well. That said, this product did well, despite my not having the best setup. The Jacquard iDye Poly was delivered about 1 day after expected, but it was an international delivery and our postal service causes delays, so not the vendor's fault. The dye is an excellent polyester/plastic dye. Polyester is a plastic material, and I had 4 versions of material to color, so can provide some information on outcomes. I was dying for a ghostly 19th century costume and used a blouse and wedding gown from a thrift store. I did NOT follow the instructions exactly because I didn't want a perfect outcome. Also, I am lazy and not inclined to stand around stirring over a hot pot of material for more than an hour.If you want a perfect outcome READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Make sure the dye packet is completely dissolved, stir all the time and "cook" the item the full 1-1/2 or longer. Also, if you plan to use your washing machine, pay attention to what is plastic in your washer, as this dye colors plastic. It may permanently color certain bites of your washer during the process.My items are a blouse of regular white mid-weight polyester with embroidery. The white gown is heavy poly satin and the bustle was a satin with lace and beading. The bustle was processed after about 20 minutes, the blouse took 35 minutes and the gown about 30 minutes. I was concerned that the heat would melt the gown, as it was showing signs of wrinkling. Something to consider if you are dying a similar material. The plastic beading and pearls also absorbed color. This was fine for my needs.The blouse took the color best, although splotchy because I didn't stir it. The gown took the least color and became a light violet. The bustle took color well with the lace trim taking on the most color. See the pictures for results. I can recommend this product and would purchase again should the need occur.

It did the job and did it well--but had to dye the dress twice. Also, my dress was 50% natural fiber and 50% poly, so I used one packet of 'idye poly' and one packet of 'idye for natural fabrics' both in violet as per Jacquard's online instructions. So, in total, two dye jobs with 2 packets=4 packets of dye for one size large dress. An investment and much more dye than I thought I would need for a single dress, but worth it to get the color right. And I am very very happy with the final result.I was not looking for a tie-dye look--I wanted a solid professional-looking color to transform my off-white semi-formal dress. This may be user error on my part--either I didn't leave it in long enough or else the dress was so heavy that it just needed more packages of dye to really saturate the fabric (the package does say for 2-3 lbs of fabric only). While my dress was definitely under that weight limit, it was long-sleeve and floor-length with a slip, so it was a rather large volume of fabric though not weighty, so you kind of have to take the weight limit as a guide, not an absolute. The first time I dyed the dress it came out very mottled and uneven--very tie-dyed look. The second time did the trick--a perfect even DEEP and RICH purple color, very professional and exactly the hue I was looking for. Both times I let the dye soak in at a very low simmer on the stove (not boiling, but hot to the touch) for about 45 minutes.I dyed the dress in a large pot on the stove--trust me when I say make sure you wear heavy rubber gloves and have lots of paper towels on hand when working with this dye--it will get everywhere and stain your hands in an instant. Also make sure to have a couple of cups of non-iodized salt on hand, which is needed as per the instructions.
