I used this for a very short stent when moving a crane to rearrange very large rocks on a property of mine. I believe the remote would be useful with just about any piece of heavy equipment that has a solenoid to activate.I'm pleased with the craftsmanship and quality of the remote which I wasn't expecting and at this price this is a great buy.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken

*Looking around they offer

. I didn’t purchase it, but it looks like it might solve every “wish list” item I had in my review below. As such everything I describe is as it comes.I’ll start by saying, they have multiple products, in multiple voltage ranges - so you shouldn’t have to make do. I however am, as I didn’t notice before ordering. I’m using the 6 button 24-264 V AC/DC version to run the controls on my dump trailer. I’m boosting my 12V supply up to 24 with . The voltage range is only for the power supply. From what I can tell, this is a quality switch at a bargain price. I got well over 50 ft of range (which is as far as I need), going through 2 stories, multiple walls - including triple bricks when I was testing. The manual states 100m (350+ft) operating range!Wires 1 and 2 go to your power supply. As far as I can tell, you then pick either wire 3 or 4 (3 is fused, 4 doesn’t appear to be), and those wires will connect to whatever you are operating (I’m only using 3). In my case, relay for up, relay for down, relay for winch out, relay for winch in, and I have a bonus one for locking lights on/off if I so choose in the future. Note: it doesn’t appear to support “latching” on/off(*programming cable?), but you can do that with external relays. I’m running relays through it, so I can’t comment on how many amps you can draw. One thing that’s nice is you can’t run up/down at the same time. Any left/right button at the same time will kick both off until you release them both. You can run different rows of buttons at the same time however. One thing I didn’t like is the remote doesn’t really have an “off” switch(*programming cable?). It has a safety switch you have to use, followed by a lockout “start” switch (after the first press of the start switch it becomes a “7th” button - generally wired to a horn). Even when it is off (E-stop pressed) however, the LEDs light up if a button is pressed. If the switch is going to sit in a truck somewhere this could potentially significantly affect battery life.

This is a quality product - and useful for so much more than the listing suggests. In my case, I'm installing it to control some accessory lighting and such on my vehicle. The wireless means minimal installation effort (pulling wires), but also means I will be able to switch the lights on, selectively, remotely - e.g. from the tent. It's gross overkill for my application, but it's a bargain at about $100 - so why not?

Incredibly sophisticated device for the price. It is meant to run an overhead crane but can be used to activate any solenoid on any piece of equipment remotely. I adapted it to control the functions of a large round baler. Without any wires running from the baler to the tractor, I am able to start the baler belts and pickup roller, activate the string arm, open the baler back, activate the kicker, and then close the baler, ready to continue driving. So far, I can't say anything bad about this product.
