This item by HY-PRO is a sisal fibre, staple free, ultra thin blade wire dartboard, it's a self healing dartboard which inevitably should provide a longer lifespan.Item arrives in branded box which is suitable for gifting, shrink-wrapped and provided as is, without the bells and whistles that some manufacturers may provide, this is a good thing as this will reduce manufacturing costs and inevitably provide a lower retail pricepoint. The board itself is of a good quality, in terms of price it's a mid range board, it doesn't compete with my winmau blade 6 triple core board, but that is over double the price and is an unfair comparison.I found this to be a great board for practicing, it also provides a less expensive option to save wear and tear on more expensive boards when other family or friends want to indulge, but perhaps aren't as good with their aim, whilst also providing a lack of staples and bounce outs that cheaper boards usually provide.Good value with some of the perks of more expensive boards incorporated makes this a good purchase.

Until fairly recently, I hadn't thrown a dart in probably 30 years. My mate's son has a board (thanks to the recent surge of interest in darts) so I've had a few games with him. I. Am. Rubbish. The thing is my own point of reference was a cork-based board from the late 80s that you hung up with a loop (like a picture) and darts with plastic built in flights! This feels like a high quality product but I had to look things up. Daft things like "is it normal to see cracks across the surface when a board hasn't been used yet?". The answer is yes - it's a natural separation of the sisal. The thin, staple free wire is a blessing for me - although to be honest it's a miracle in itself to hit the board!Hanging this is quite simple but bear in mind you will probably need a drill to hang this. Experienced players will probably know this - but for us beginners you simply attach the larger screw to the centre of the board and nail on the spacers (there's holes marked out for all of this). There's a bracket you then fit to the wall and this screw simply lets the board sit on top of this bracket. You get screws for the bracket but you need to supply your own wall plugs. It's easy enough to do but I was thinking it would be an old school picture hook type of thing!I'm reviewing this product free of charge as part of Vine - but as a complete amateur I don't think I would have been disappointed splashing out the current price of £36 on this.

This is a very high quality dart board. I'd describe it as professional grade. The construction and materials are superb and the look is very high quality.Colours are crisp and clear with narrow metal dividers between the divisions (much less likelihood of darts bouncing off metal and you missing a score). It is very heavy so will need fixing well. I'd perhaps advise getting a backing and fixing to this so it is not just hanging from a wall. There are mounting fixings included.Recommended for all keen darts players

Hy-Pro Apex Dartboard: I’m no dart player but it’s great fun to have a game of “arra’s” as my Dad would have called it, when you gave a few folk over. Haven’t actually owned a dartboard for many years so found this quite light and easy to hang, while the sisal fascia ensures that the holes from the darts close re-seal once darts are removed leaving a more even surface. The texture and finer wire used on the sections mean less bounce-outs and for my purposes this seems like a good quality board for a reasonable price (£36). Great fun to pass a couple of hours with family and friends.
