Firstly this tablet comes extremely well presented. A plain cardboard outer box for shipment keeping the contents masked from delivery driver's view. Inside the cardboard box is a cellophane wrapped printed box suitable for gifting. On opening the inner box you're presented with several layers of boxing. On top is the protective case for the tablet. Underneath that is the tablet wrapped in a sealed bag. Next to that is the stylus pen. Under the tablet is another box containing a charging cable, some quick start instructions and a slightly weird two finger glove, probably useful for arty types. The tablet is excellent quality, an aluminium body with a large 11" screen. It is very sleek and even when the protective case is added it is still slim and light.Turning on the tablet is just like any other, a button on the top right side of the body. Start up is what you'd expect from any tablet from new, a list of simple questions to determine the time zone, date, time and wifi connection. Any updates to the tablet will be automatically carried out when a network is seen. The tablet runs on Android 14 and it functions just like any other tablet and you'll be able to upload any apps that you usually run, you can even register your Google account to it and get your normal set up configured. It has an Octa-core processor, 8Gb of ram and very high resolution graphics. The camera has a decent resolution level and capture sharp images just like any smartphone or tablet.I can't fault the battery life, after a couple of hours use a day I found it had lasted a whole week before it needed a recharge. The art part of this tablet comes from the pre-installed software, the textured screen which has a matt paper like feel and the pressure sensitivity that gives drawing a certain precision that is just absent on smartphones.HiPaint, Clip Studio Paint and ibisPaint are already pre-installed and these are easy to start and I found them intuitive to use. The stylus is turned on with a simple button press and it allows interaction with the software making writing and drawing very simple and easy.I'm no artist but I have studied technical design and I'm familiar with design software and I was able to navigate around the three software packages with relative ease allowing me to produce simple drawing using various styles and texture in just a couple of hours. The stylus works beautifully and this was my first taste of drawing this way and I loved it, especially when trying to produce certain line styles and shading textures.Who would this tablet be aimed at? My guess would be younger students getting their first taste of graphic design or people who are already competent artists but are looking to gain experience in digital art.Verdict: I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to review this tablet via Amazon Vine. It isn't something I'd have bought for myself but I will be using it to explore my hidden artist in the months to come.

I received this tablet for free through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. On opening the package, I was very impressed. The fit and finish of the tablet, with its use of metal, are excellent. It comes with a wide range of accessories, including a case, a stylus (which the case holds), a power cable, some spare tips, and even a glove to assist with drawing. However, it does not include a charger, though it will charge using any USB-C charger you have to hand.On booting up the tablet, I found it was running Android 14, last updated in January 2025. There were no security patches or more recent updates, and it’s unclear whether any will appear over time. The internal storage is 128GB, with around 32GB used by the stock apps. The tablet includes a 4G data modem, but I didn't have a 4G data SIM to test its performance. Also strangely, on checking for updates, the updater asked for permission to make and manage phone calls, which seemed extremely odd to me, and something I wouldn't want it to do.The drawing apps worked well and had good stylus response — although they were somewhat cluttered and complex. As it's Android, you can always download alternatives. In general, the tablet was responsive to use, but this is where the positives ended. The display is a little dull — possibly due to the drawing surface — and the HDR colour range seemed limited, particularly when playing video. The 8-core CPU also struggled significantly with games, often achieving fewer than 5 frames per second during 3D rendering in popular titles. The tablet features both front and rear cameras. Low-light image quality was very noisy, and there was noticeable lag and blur in the live preview. Enabling HDR made the lag even worse. In short, this is a well-designed tablet for a specific price point. It offers excellent build quality, but its features are let down by an underperforming display, weak camera system, and poor gaming performance. If you have a clear set of requirements and a tight budget, this tablet might be appropriate — but it’s not a universal device for all tasks. On balance, it’s nothing special.
