the oil is great, with no unpleasant smell.i've used just 2-3 drops on my honing stone, and already honed 5 chisels and 2 plane knifes, with the stone still having nice layer of the oil - at this rate, the bottle will last me a life time.

This is the second bottle of Nathan’s honing oil I’ve bought because I see no reason to look elsewhere. Whilst it may only look to be a small bottle a little goes a very long way. I draw a short line down the middle of the stone, a quick rub in to cover the whole surface and away you go.I use this primarily to help sharpen two things; my kitchen knives and my straight razors. Using this oil on my Welsh slate sharpening stones really helps give the razors a very shiny, highly polished edge, most if not all of the are now sharper than when I bought them.As for knives it’s a similar story when sharpened on my 300/1000 grit diamond plate. A well polished edge that will shave hair off your arm.Why will I keep using this? Well I’ve had mixed results on the above mentioned stones with water and/or slurry, I’ve discovered using this oil and no slurry is the combination I need for the stones I have. Great buy and I’d definitely recommend.

Die Verpackung war von außen sehr ölig gewesen 😖 Der Flaschendeckel war nicht richtig verschlossen..... Bitte beim nächsten mal besser darauf achten....

Anyone who requires good cutting / slicing knives when preparing food, needs to keep them as sharp as possible from time to time. Besides a good whetstone, quality honing oil is required as well. This is where LANSKY comes into play. Nathan's Honing Oil is a superb product which I used for the first time a few weeks ago. A few drops from the 120ml (4 FL.Oz) bottle was all it took to sharpen the 3 most used knives in daily use. Excellent result. The price for the oil is justified. Hence,the product deserves 5 stars.
