Over the past few seasons I've been building and refining a five-zone irrigation system that includes micro-line (1/4") drip and fan-shaped emitters such as these.These are well-designed emitters in two key areas.First, these are "quick connect" as opposed to barbed. I would never recommend any irrigation components that use barbed connections because they're a pain to install and more often than not fly off the tubing once there's water pressure. Quick-connect emitters like these are far more reliable with much less tendency to leak. Weirdly, none of the big box garden centers in my area stock any quick-connect components (only barbed).Second, each emitter has pass-through connections, meaning two ends of irrigation line plug into the emitter (the water "passes through" the emitter). This means that you don't need to use tees to connect these. They can be daisy-chained (linked in series), which makes the whole system neater and requires fewer components that may leak or fail.These are easily adjustable, a big plus.I also like that each emitter is fixed on a spike. Some emitters must be mounted on a spike, which is never, in my experience, particularly secure: They often fall off.Great product and an excellent value: Highly recommended.

I've used barb-style emitters for my drip irrigation system in the past but have recently started converting them over to this 'quick-connect' style as it's more efficient and much easier to swap out emitters for maintenance, repairs, or replacements as needed. These are your standard 'stream' type emitters that put out a good amount of water flow with the adjustable screw top to regulate how much depending on your needs. The stakes are sturdy and of a good length to give you room to adjust the height and the connectors grip 1/4 inch irrigation hose tightly for a secure seal. The set of 28 emitters includes a pair of plugs so you can cap things off at the end of a circuit by just inserting them into the final end of their T juncture instead of having to run a short line and then plugging it to achieve the same thing. They are a good value for the price considering how many you get but I did notice that there was a small number that had looser connection heads than others on some ends which may cause a problem with them keeping their seals long term, especially with exposure to the elements, otherwise, this would be a 5-star set. If you're looking at it to create all-new circuits or installations, I'd get more than 1 so you could have plenty of spares on hand should you need them.
