I started with an Annke NVR and sent that back because, despite having USB ports, you can’t use a USB keyboard! Which idiot thought that was a good idea? In a world where strong passwords are increasingly essential for anything that connects to the Internet, having to type a 10-18 character (capitals lower case numbers and special characters) is ridiculous when you are forced to do so on a crappy in screen keyboard via a mouse pointer!Anyway I swapped out the “budget” Annke NVR (half the price of this Hikvision thing) for this middle of the line Hikvision offering… what a massive error that was!I have 4 cameras! This device (supposedly) supports 8.I have 2x 4k cameras and 2x 1080p cameras - this device supposedly supports 8x 4k cameras…In reality it doesn’t support (properly) even 2x 4k cameras.The user interface is clunky, cumbersome to operate, infuriatingly laid out and has clearly never been user tested by anyone outside of the department that created it.It is without any doubt, the single most poorly designed and implemented bit of kit I have EVER used - and I’ve worked in electronic engineering and later, Network Support and Security for nearly 38 years now, so I’ve seen some pretty ropey devices.Most often you see a cryptic error about the NVR not having enough resources to display two 4k streams at once on screen! When something is supposed to support 8 cameras you expect to be able to see all 8 on screen at once - or I do anyway.Honestly, if you really want a decent NVR solution, but a Synology NAS and a couple of licenses for their security suite - it’s WAY better than anything Hikvision and Annke sell.If you don’t want to buy an expensive NAS buy BlueIris and run it on a dedicated PC. With Intel video acceleration this gives such massively improved functionality and control ability over anything Annke or HikVison have ever created that’s it’s actually scary.How Hikvision ever earned a “badge of honour” in security where everyone claims their gear is “amazing” I really don’t know. Based on this abomination, they should be ashamed. It’s just awful.Do NOT buy anything Hikvision make that isn’t a camera. Their cameras are great, but their NVRs are utter, utter rubbish.You’re better off burning your money in a bin than buying this piece of junk.

bonjourles ports POE sont inutilisables pour des caméras en ONVIF (pas de pb opur les connecter et les alimenter mais le NVR dis que le réseau interne est injoignable) - caméras foscam - j'ai eu beau tout essayé automatique, hors réseau ... rien a faire ... la gestion de routage interne est déficiente par ailleurs la version de firmware me semble totalement dépassée par rapport a ce que je vois sur le web ... j'ai un truc qui ressemble a une interface des années 70 par rapport à des trucs graphiques actuels.Pour le reste (1 étoile) par le lan et en onvif ca marche donc il y a bien un pb sur le POE qui a un fonctionnement instable = gestion du routage ... + lenteur anormale en lecture - déçu

L'appareil est vraiment top et il existe des tutos sur Youtube qui expliquent tous les paramètres possible (car pas de notice claire avec l'appareil).Vraiment d'énorme possibilités de paramètres.ATTENTION: à ne pas mettre dans un bureau et encore moins dans une chambre ! Le ventilateur souffle vraiment fort et même dans un placard à 4 mètres du lit, il est impossible de dormir.J'ai du le mettre finalement à côté de la VMC dans une autres pièces.Egalement pour ceux qui ont un Apple.... retour aux année 90 avec tous les problèmes de compatibilité que l'on a connu entre le monde PC et Apple. Ici IMPOSSIBLE de lire les video en directe sur Apple, bien entendu AUCUNE explication sur le site HIKVISION (qui ne sert à rien). Avec les Forums et beaucoup beaucoup de patience (installation de plug in, de logiciels pour rechercher le nom de la camera Hikvision, de mise à jour en tout genre, etc) vous pourrez (peut être) arriver à voir les images en directe depuis votre MAC !!! Sur PC aucun souci.

I waited a long time, but when i finally got the package, it wasn't what i expected. A really expensive paper dispenser.. Really really dissapointed!
