There seems to be some variability in the thickness of the leather. Mine was soft and thinner than some others received. However, I think it will work just fine for me. It's the perfect size and shape for the Mora Bushcraft Black. Inverted, retention is fine and the knife slides in and out of the sheath with ease when needed. My only concern is I believe there may be a possibility of stabbing through the leather when re-sheathing it, as another reviewer showed. I would have preferred it a bit thicker and tougher, so subtract a half star for that. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the craftsmanship from Alexander in Guatemala.

I'm super happy about this purchase to a replace a lost knife sheath. The leather is REAL, of greater than 1/8th thickness, and dyed using a quality process. The low cost is a bonus, but the quality craftsmanship and materials are the highlight of this item. Fits a Mora perfectly. I will be purchasing more leather goods of this brand!

Quality quality quality! I can't really say more about it.

Quality workmanship. No scuffs from the manufacturer, only tooling marks. Quite a tight fit, but I'm sure with use it will loosen up nicely. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Well made leather sheath; even came in a useful leather embellished canvas sack.Design is similar to traditional Swedish "cut, fold over, stitch" construction, here reinforced with rivets, likely steel. The leather belt loop (2+") is affixed with steel rivets as well.Perhaps some Vasoline or anti-rust compound on these would be a good idea for the user; the rivets are not shiny, so they may be anodized or somehow coated. The leather is thick, but soft, and there is no plastic insert, so take care when inserting the sharp blade or, better, along with caution, cut up a plastic milk jug and use a naturally curved section as backbone and shield for the sharp edge. The manufacture of the sheath does, however, close up the very bottom of the sheath both with stitching and rivet; so there is no "drain hole" that the design of such a sheath can afford by its nature. Keep this in mind if you use with a Carbon steel blade. Also it isn't clear how the tanning of the leather was done - some methods can result in contact corrosion of Carbon steels with room humidity. Best to patina or coat a Carbon blade anyway. The softness of the leather is pleasing, but not quite as sturdy and durable as some may expect from a leather sheath. The exterior is smooth and matte, but will easily 'mark' from abrasion. This is a "working" not a "dress" sheathThe construction accepts and retains a Mora 510 or 511 model, or Craftsman model quite well, and dresses up your kit compared to the simple plastic sheath that generally come with these knives. Since more than half of the handle will be retained in the sheath, recognize that knives with rubberized traction handle inserts may grip much more in the sheath.Overall a good value and good product, recommended to anyone recognizing the caveats expressed here.
