Ended up getting this because it said it fits a 2008 gsxr 750 but when I got it the pump was to big and does not fit had to return and was not the right one

After a couple year hiatus, my formerly trouble-free 2003 SV650 refused to start. The fuel pump had died and I was faced with replacing it, or rebuilding it. With the cost of a new one being close to $800, and reading favorable reviews about the Quantum rebuild kits, I opted for the latter.I found a few videos online that showed the process in nice detail, so I highly recommend watching a few of those before doing this. Overall, the process was fairly straight forward. However, one curveball that I ran into was that my fuel pressure regulator was not the same as the one that came in this kit. My specific model year uses a different style. To be fair, Quantum does offer a kit with my regulator, but I didn't think to check for that before ordering. Initially, I tried to reuse my old pressure regulator, but the bike ran very poorly afterward (I believe my original had gone bad). I ultimately ended up ordering a new one separately which solved the issue. It just prolonged my project and caused me to take the fuel pump out of the bike multiple times, so I recommend verifying this before purchasing to make sure you get a new correct one from the start.In the end, this kit brought my bike back to life for a fraction of what a new pump would have cost. I've got several hundred trouble-free miles on it so far, and hope to get many thousands more!

Easy to replace and motorcycle is now running great again. The fuel pressure regulator that was with this kit doesn't fit my bike but my old one still worked and the pump and gaskets were perfect fits. There are a lot of extra filters and gaskets so this kit can work with a wider variety of bikes.
