The Hakko FR-301 is by far the best desoldering tool for my needs that I have used. I's been a great investment and has saved me time and money in the long run. Having the right nozzle for the particular job is essential. The N6116 Desoldering Nozzle has been a game changer for certain parts. The price of the nozzles might seem a little high but I can say that they are quality parts and hold up better than a cheaper device I previously owned. Worth the investment.

Okay the oval shape is something you're going to want to have on hand It's great for heat sinks and other devices and larger components that might be affixed to a PC board. You can get away with a round one but you really have to kind of work at it. For the money it's worth it just to get an oval shape and this fits most oval or even rectangular shape solder points. What would take me 10 or 15 minutes sometimes takes me 2 minutes or less to do. Don't be cheap by this for yourself you'll love it!
