Took these plates in our truck camper on a 3.5 month roadtrip. We bought them for durability and lightness and they definitely held up to the challenge. Would buy again.

Excelentes! Ya llevo casi un año con estos platos y son súper durables y lindos. Son de muy buena calidad y difícil que se doblen. Te van a durar mucho y vale la pena.

It's a very nice quality plate. Unlike some others, I did not have any problems removing the sticker from the front of the plate. It came right off & left no residue. The little one (barcode) on the back of the plate left some gumminess behind but I think it will wear off after a few washes. I weighed the plate on my kitchen scale, it came in at 7.1 ounces. It seems to be very well made & i'd give the product itself 5 stars....However Amazon & their warehouse get 2 stars for their shoddy packaging. They threw this plate & a small package of two glass bowls in a big box and neglected to put enough protective insulation inside. After the box was delivered, when I lifted it up off the porch, I could immediately hear things rolling around & smashing into each other. Once I got inside & opened the box up I saw that the box with the two glass containers had opened up and the containers were loose with the unwrapped plate. I just had these same bowls in a different color delivered the day prior and this did not happen because it was packaged properly. So I know that this wouldn't have happened if they had bothered to add some more paper or those plastic air pocket strips.So as a result of Amazon's poor packaging there is a ding in the plate & some scratches on the bottom. From the racket I heard in the box i'm surprised the plate isn't in worse condition or that the bowls didn't break. I guess both items really truly are quite strong & sturdy.

Ok, all I can say, is that I really wasn't expecting this much quality...even from GSI. That said, I'm impressed with GSI's stuff. This plate is a standard dinner plate in size (looked smaller online). It is heavy POLISHED stainless steel (will last a lifetime, and a few cliff-dives as well). The lip is about a half-inch tall, and rolled at the very edge. Very good quality...can't say enough about it. Personally, I have a Texsport 16-ounce camp mug/cup that is also stainless steel, wire handle, and rolled lip...that together, they look like they were a matched set, both in appearance and quality. Add some good stainless steel silverware, and you have a plate, cup and utensil set that will truly last a lifetime.If you get this plate, and don't like it...I don't really know what to say...other than maybe you shouldn't have been looking in the top-end camping gear area. Ok, maybe if you are an ultra-light camper, then you won't like the weight...good stainless is somewhat heavy...two of these plates weigh close to a pound together. Yes, you can get plastic, aluminum and other plates...but there is nothing out there this high-quality, going to last for a century, like this stuff will.
