This purchase was a complete waste of money. The design, with 4 raised bumps on one side of the disc, makes it impossible for the heat to transfer from the stove top to the pot. .

Admittedly, I did not use this for its intended purpose, but instead fashioned it into a turntable to hold 3D printer filament.The plate is made of good quality, tough steel; it's a generous thickness, and has a satisfying weight to it. The detachable handle is a wonderful addition, allowing you to move the plate easily, without having to tough it.It a lovely piece of metal, that can be used for many purposes — use your imagination!

I've been using induction cooking for around 15 years now and recently inherited a few excellent quality pans that I was quite upset to find didn't work on induction hobs.When I saw this adapter I thought it seemed like it would be easy to store and easy to use. Worth a punt.When the adapter arrived, I was very impressed with the look and feel of it - it feels and looks very well made. Proof of the pudding as they say. Time to try it out.There is a warning which states to NOT plonk the adapter on the hob and whack up the power (I'm paraphrasing of course), but I couldn't help but give it a few seconds to see how long it took to heat up.At this point I'd say - don't just plonk the adapter on the hob and whack up the power. It heats up fast. Very fast.So time to put a pan on and I have to say I'm very impressed with this thing. As it does heat up quickly, it means the pan also takes the heat quickly. Obviously it's not quite the same as direct heat on a gas or electric (yuck) hob but it actually works surprisingly well and it does mean I can get the use of my nice inherited pans. Excellent.

I bought this to use to convert my regular pans for use on induction hob. They are super useful and very sturdy. They are a little heavy and the handle can be a little tricky to insert until you get the hang of it. It is also super simple to clean if you do have any spills. One thing I learnt the hard way is that you need to remember that it’s very hot afterwards!I hope you found my review helpful :)

Very basic steel disk. it's an adapter for my new induction hot plate, so I can use my non-magnetic cookware with it. The induction heats the disk, the disk heats the pot. Handy slip-in detached handle works a lot easier to move the disk than fumbling with a hot pad.
