Für einen recht hohen Preis erhält man hier ein wirklich sehr hochwertiges Glasschneidebrett.Gefertigt ist das Glasschneidebrett aus bruchsicherem Glas und hat die Maße 450 × 240 × 19 mm.Auf der Unterseite ist das Glasschneidebrett mit einer weißen Folie beschichtet. Das macht das Arbeiten auf dem Schneidebrett viel einfacher. Außerdem sind auf der Unterseite noch vier Füßchen angebracht, auf denen das Schneidebrett fest und rutschsicher steht.Die Größe ist perfekt ausgerichtet auf die Arbeit auf einer Küchenzeile. Abgesehen davon, dass Glas viel hygienischer ist als Holzschneidebretter, ist es auch viel gesünder darauf zu arbeiten.Für den hohen Preis ziehe ich einen Stern ab, ansonsten aber vergebe ich gerne eine Kaufempfehlung für dieses wirklich tolle Schneidbrett.

I never thought of a glass chopping board but it actually makes a lot of sense.The fact that every chopping board gets deep scratches and cuts from the knife and the residue starts accumulating in those is unavoidableWith this one from GROHE that will not happen and here there is the main difference with the standard onesThe design is minimalist which i love. The size of the board (24 x 45 cms) is perfect in my opinionI would say that going for glass would not have been my first option. Many people may see the fact that it could easily break as something negative.I actually never dropped a chopping board on the floor. I guess it is a matter of preference.At the bottom, it has rubber pads so the board will not move around while is in useI hope i do not have to test the claim “shatterproof” 😂For now I like it and I just have to get used to it

I understand, glass cutting boards have an elegant, refined appearance and are really simple to clean! Let me break the bad news to you, though, glass chopping boards are your blades' worst enemy.Those lovely, cutting blades you adore? You'll be waving goodbye to the sharpness of your knife by the time you finish cutting a single onion. Glass is a cruel material. It feels like you're dragging your priceless cutlery across a concrete floor with each slice and chop. Before long, you'll be chopping through veggies rather than gliding with ease.Of course, some people would say, "Just use knife sharpener!" That certainly helps in the short term, but it's hardly a miracle cure. You'll spend less time cooking and more time honing your skills.Not to mention the knife-dulling catastrophe, glass boards can be dangerous. Cooking is already a difficult task, so you don't need to add to it by worrying that your supplies (or even your fingers) may go bad because the board decided to play ice rink.If you are serious about cooking, please just invest in a quality cutting board made from wood.

Grohe Glass Chopping BoardThis chopping board arrived promptly and well packaged. It is clearly very good quality and very smart in a minimalist way. It is designed to be used over a sink so good for space saving however I used it on my worktop and it works equally well that way. This chopping board is made of white glass which I wouldn’t normally go for but it was pleasant to use and looked good. It has little rubber pads on the underside so that it doesn’t slip around. The listing claims that this just glass is ‘break proof’ although I wouldn’t want to put that to the test lol All in all this is a very good quality glass chopping board designed to go over a Grohe Sink and is dishwasher safe so if you are the market for something of that ilk then you really can’t go wrong with this one.
