This was the second crash guard I tried, after the first didn't fit. It seems that Husqvarna made changes to the chassis of the 2024 vit/svartpilen so crash guards designed for prior model years may not fit properly.Pros:- Fits 2024 Vitpilen 401 (and I assume 2024 Svartpilen 401, though I didn't test that)- very solid, sturdy welded construction. Three anchor points in a wide triangle makes for better strength than 1- or 2-screw slides- excellent protection. The slides stick out far enough to protect the whole front of the bike and the rider's legs, maybe even the handlebars- looks pretty sleek imho, and blends in well with the rest of the framework (at least, as well as anything can that offers this much protection)- arrived faster than promised and in good condition due to very protective packagingCons- No instructions. If you're reasonably handy you can probably figure out where all the screws and spacers go, but some written instructions/pictures would have been nice.- the threaded bar design could be improved, and took me a while to install correctly. Lemme 'splain:The bottom mounting point is held by a rod that goes all the way through the bike. They sent a replacement rod that is longer than the OEM rod, to account for the extra length needed for the new hardware. The length is perfect, but unlike the OEM bolt, which is threaded only on one side, the rod they sent is just a straight threaded rod that needs a nut on both sides. They sent one nut, and I had to use the OEM nut for the other side.Here's the issue: the OEM nut is a lock nut that requires more force to tighten than the one they provided. And when you are tightening nuts on both sides of a threaded rod, you can't control which one moves, so the rod wants to go all the way through/past the regular nut without threading the lock nut more than about halfway.SOLUTION: Before putting the new threaded rod in the bike, take off the OEM nut and put it on the new rod, tightening until the rod and nut are flush the outside. You'll need to hold the rod with pliers or a clamp to get enough torque, and this may mess up some threads, but by doing it BEFORE you put it in the bike you can keep any thread damage in the middle of the rod where it doesn't matter. This is way easier than trying to tighten the locknut with the rod in the bike and only a small portion to hold on the other side (like I did).All in all, now that it's installed it looks good and feels sturdy. I'm docking one star because providing a bolt instead of a threaded rod, or a lock nut instead of a regular nut, or at least some decent instructions could have made the installation much smoother.

2024 Svartpilen 401. Solid feel. No included instructions, but easy to install. Use the washers on the rear mounting point and the spacers where they fit up front.
