Funktioniert wie beschrieben, leider ohne IT Kentnisse kaum realisiebar.

DO NOT BUY THIS! This is a faulty defective product. Similar to the fake USBs you get that lie about their size and you only notice when they fill up to early. Very dissapointed in Amazon that they do not check this seller. This product seems to work upon initial installation and then gives increasing I/O errors until it fails to load any SSD plugged into it. All those looking to add M2 SSDs via PCIE expansion card, go with a reputable manufacturer like SuperMicro.

The use of aging Dell computer systems presents a particular conundrum in an era characterized by rapidly evolving hardware technology. One salient issue is the limitation imposed by the hard drive read and write speeds on these older machines, which often lag significantly behind contemporary NVMe Gen.4 storage devices that are engineered to operate at speeds upwards of 7GB/s. In a computational landscape that is becoming increasingly data-intensive, the bottleneck created by older hard drive technology can be a significant detriment to overall system performance and efficiency. To address this limitation, the GLOTRENDS Quad M.2 PCIe 3.0 X8 NVMe Adapter Card with ASM 2824 has emerged as a plausible solution. The card bridges the technological gap by facilitating data transfer rates of approximately 1GB/s on both channels when paired with NVMe Gen.4 storage devices. This adapter significantly ameliorates the speed deficit inherent in older Dell systems, thereby extending their functional lifespan and making them more compatible with current data storage solutions. Essentially, it modernizes the data-handling capabilities of the computer, making it more congruent with contemporary performance expectations. However, there exists an unmet expectation regarding the adapter card's functionality; it does not provide a solution for booting directly from the connected NVMe storage. Given the constraints of older Dell BIOS configurations, which do not natively support this feature, there was a hopeful anticipation that the adapter card would offer a workaround. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The adapter card, although effective in augmenting data transfer speeds, does not circumvent the BIOS limitations for booting directly from the NVMe drive. This shortfall underscores the conditional utility of the adapter, highlighting that while it solves one problem, it is not a panacea for all the limitations inherent in older computing systems. The implications of this are twofold. On one hand, users can significantly enhance their data processing capabilities, but on the other, they still have to rely on older methods for system booting, which might not offer the same speed and efficiency. Thus, the adapter serves as a partial solution that advances the utility of aging Dell computers, but it doesn't entirely eliminate the need for a more comprehensive hardware update or the challenges presented by older BIOS configurations. In sum, the GLOTRENDS Quad M.2 PCIe 3.0 X8 NVMe Adapter Card with ASM 2824 offers a robust, albeit incomplete, solution for modernizing the data storage capabilities of older Dell systems. While it performs admirably in achieving high-speed data transfer, it falls short in enabling a key feature: booting directly from the NVMe storage devices, due to the constraints imposed by the outdated Dell BIOS. Therefore, users who employ this adapter card should do so with an awareness of its limitations and benefits, balancing their expectations accordingly. Even at an extremely high price, I think it is worth it if you can live with its guaranteed shortcomings.

Worked great in my atx case by MSI. Fitment was perfect into the slot. Just have to mess with bios settings to get it to recognize what's going on, but that's simple enough and there are videos out the wazoo about it.Hardware felt solid and I've had no issues with it so far. Everything is only going to be as fast as your board lets it be, so keep that in mind also.Recommended as long as you are comfortable with messing with bios.
