I have gained a huge respect for Gedore throughout my years of using Siemens products that come from Germany and/or Austria. With that being said, it’s disappointing to see a product that doesn’t deliver as much as its brand name does. Another reviewer mentioned if Amazon (Amazon.de for them) has become the hub for defective Gedore products. Who knows.. (I hope not 🥲)What I do know is that the construction, of the adaptor, is sturdy looking; however, the middle (metal-looking) retaining ring seems to be the reason why this 1/4” socket drive adaptor, for an closed-end, ratcheting wrench/spanner (whatever lol 😂), thingy doesn’t fit in my 10mm wrench/spanner.If thIs socket adaptor was intentionally engineered to only work with a Gedore wrenches, then shame on the company. The one or two times I did manage to fit it inside of a 10mm wrench, it looked promising. However, it seems like you would have to force (and possibly deform ) the retaining disc in order for the adaptor to seat snug in the wrench. The 1/2” drive variant of this product seems to fit into the 19mm wrenches much more smoother. Although, I could have possibly just received a decent one and not a complete ‘lemon’. Despite this possibility, I think the secure factor is left to be desired. I can see this/these adaptors popping out if opposite downward pressure is not applied during use..Welp (oh well), maybe you could get a better use out of it than I could. Wait for a price drop though (if any). This will be much more worth it at that point.Happy fixing/testing y’all!

I have a few different 3/8" socket handles and when I have a tight space usually I reach for my small breaker bar. this 3/8" adapter in a 13mm box wrench gives me 7mm additional clearance. it is now my new official, lowest profile socket handle in the tool pile.note I tried to fit this on a 1/2" (sae) gearwrench, but it didn't work. you will need a 13mm spanner (hopefully a ratcheting wrench) to make this work.

Gedore seems to have quality control problems. I have received and returned two of these adapters. The first was very loose, rattled around in the Gedore 7 UR ratcheting wrench. The second was still loose but almost acceptable but the knurling on the side of the adapter hit the lever in the Gedore 7 UR ratcheting wrench, occasionally jamming the system. Does Gedore send their factory seconds to Amazon.de?
