Returned, the pin holes for the shelving are way too big for the pins the pins won't stay and fall if you even touch the unit, I only put together half of it and realized I would have to modifiy it for it to be useful which is NOT what you are suppose to encounter when you purchase a pre-made piece of furniture, you should be able to put it together and use it. The shelves do not have grooves either, so not only the pins would have to be glued into the holes but they act like a drawer because the shelves do not have grooves to stay in place. so this is a NO for me. Another thing, blur rays are a specific height, and because of the pre-drilled holes, I was only able to use two of the three shelves you are supposed to fit in the space. If you want to allow enough room for taller BluRay box sets. This unit could have been better if it was well thought out or tested, I suppose they do not have a quality control dept.

I am not normally a fan of composite material shelves, and this one is as standard as it has gotten over the past few decades. The big standout to me is the backing. Normally the back is one giant and slightly too small sheet of thick board that is inexpertly required to be tacked on with zero ability to see. This is the first model I have assembled that had four separate backings that had grooved dedicated to the purpose of holding them in. That in itself is why I would buy this one again and others if they are similarly designed.

This assembled pretty easily, and for the price, the quality of materials is sold, EXCEPT for the pegs that hold the shelves in place. They don't fit snugly in the holes, unlike the small metal pegs I've had in similar shelves. As such, just gently moving the shelf, even on hard floors with felt pads, will cause the pegs to fall out, causing the shelves to fall off and get damaged. If the pegs actually stayed secured in the holes, for the price this would be an easy 5 stars.

First off i am using these for DVDs. You can hold about 360 DVD cases. Blu Rays are shorter but because of the peg hole spacing you really cannot hold more. As the other review says the pegs are horrible. They need to fit tighter into the holes. The wrong movment can cause a shelf to fall. The boards are 1/2 inch partical board. Overall once together they are as good as you can expect for 1/2 inch laminated partical board and the price.overall they are fine as long as you dont expect them to be the best. They are as cheap $ wise as you can get
