My daughter wanted to make cake pops - I wish I’d researched them before ordering this set. It came with no instructions/suggestions. After I used my search engine I discovered I could probably have made them without this set, which to be honest is a little overpriced for what it is. The mould is handy for chocolate/coconut coating the cake pops (which believe it or not you make from a baked cake). The cake pop stand was also broken.

It does seem like value for money as you get quite a few elements in the pack. The cake pop sticks are sturdy. Also quite liked the flexible jug for dipping the cake pops in. The stand holes are too close together you would need to skip a hole to use these. I’m not sure I get how the moulds are meant to work, likely better to just make cake moulds in hand as would usually than use them.It’s an ok set but not sure if I would use everything in the box.

So the kit itself looks nice and arrives with lots of little extras.The moulds are however quite large so we struggled with two things. Firstly, the weight of the cake pop slid down the sticks and secondly, If you fill the mould fully then the size of the cake pop is too large to fit in the accompanying bags. Also, If you fill the cake pop mould completely when you then put the cake pops in the provided stand they are so large that they touch each other.We will definitely use elements of the kit again, but if I was purchasing again I would definitely look for a smaller mould.That said all of this could easily be user error!
