Compared to other 4wd Arduino robot cars, this is a superior product, with good quality parts, an excellent tutorial and excellent support. It was fun to assemble the kit and I was particularly impressed with the ability to control the car with an RF hand-held controller. A beginner should be able to get all the sketches to work properly. The coding for some of the simpler sketches is explained, but it would be nice if more of the advanced coding were explained in future tutorials. One interesting point is that the 4 motors are prewired and soldered with a plug at the end. This is different to a lot of the other kits on the market, where the buyer has to solder the wires to the motors and then connect to the motor driver (eg L298). As a result, a lot more coding needs to be done to ensure that the car moves in the correct direction. This is clear in sketch 1.1.3, which could have been made a lot simpler if the motors on the left and right side had been wired differently. On the whole, this kit is good value for money, and would provide many hours of entertainment for the buyer.

Das Set ist gut durchdacht. Der Aufbau des Moduls mit ein wenig Erfahrung problemlos. Ich hatte ein Problem mit einer Funktion. Der Kundendienst ist genau so wie versprochen wird. Habe selten einen solch effizienten Service erfahren. Das Unternehmen ist vertrauenswürdig.

Das Aufbauen war Interessant, leider gab es keine Anleitung vorhanden! Das Programmiren und Steuerung des Auto musste man durch bestimmte App machen, was schwer verständlich war! Deshalb steht es in der Ecke unbenutzt !

-Vorab als Hinweis, sollte es jemand übersehen: Man benötigt für den Bausatz 2x 3.7V Li+-Akkus (18 650 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery x2), die separat erworben werden müssen.-Als Bausatz ist es (in meinen Augen) erst ab (12)-14 Jahren zum alleine bauen geeignet. Mit Erwachsenenanleitung vielleicht ab (8)-10 Jahren. Mit Sicherheit nicht für 5-jährige, wie es ein Kunde hier beschrieb (höchstens um die Räder einzubauen oder die feinen Schräubchen zu platzieren).Kritik:-Die Anleitungen sind nur in englisch.-Die Anleitungen müssen über die Website heruntergeladen werden (freenove.com). Hier hätte man eine CD/ein USB-Ministick beifügen können mit den erforderlichen Tutorials für das 4WD-Kit und die Remote-Control (vielleicht noch mit den Treibern und dem ARDUINO IDE). Wenigstens hätte eine dünne, 10-seitige Bildanleitung für den Zusammenbau der Komponenten ausgereicht; die technischen Details der Komponenten und die Computercode-Beschreibung hätte man dann herunterladen können.-Die Anleitung ist teilweise unvollständig. Entsprechend dem Tutorial sollte das fertige Modell wie im beigefügten Bild aussehen. Aber auf dem Bild fehlen die Kabel zu den Sensoren. Sowie die Bluetooth-Komponente. Und ich habe im Bausatz noch ein NRF-Modul übrig (eine verbaute ich bereits im Remote Control) - wo soll das hin?-Teilweise Schräubchen, wie beim Uhrenmacher,könnte man meinen: M1.4x4 Dimension. Und mit diesen selbstschneidenden Schräubchen in die feinen Kunststoffärmchen des Servomoduls einzubohren ist nicht unbedingt ein Spass. Man hätte bei diesem grossen 4WD-Modell durchaus grössere Schrauben nutzen können. So ist das eine Friemelarbeit. Mit grossen Fingern, oder kräftigen Handwerkerhänden, kann so manch ein Schräubchen die Verzweifelung nahe bringen.-Wenige Bauelemente sind qualitativ schlecht, wie der Plastik-"Knauf", der partout nicht mit dem Steuermodul des Remote-Control zusammengehen wollte. Musste es zunächst aufgebohren und dann mit Klebstoff befestigen.-Preis ist zu hoch.

El envío llego rápido y sin problemas.El producto viene en una caja, con todos los componentes, perfectamente ordenados e identificados, en varios embalajes y bolsas individuales, así como unas pequeñas herramientas que facilitar el montaje.El código viene muy detallado en el tutorial en formato .pdf, y siguiendo las indicaciones de los diferentes vídeos de Internet, se monta muy fácilmente.Para su correcto funcionamiento, hay que utilizar las versiones de las librerías que acompañan al fichero .zip, que hay que descargarse desde la página oficial, y sustituir aquellas que no se correspondan en el IDE de Arduino.

Kurz vor Weihnachten Zeit besorgt, erst jetzt Anfang Januar zusammengebaut.Die PDF-Anleitung ist mit etwa 150 Seite recht umfangreich und man übersieht schnell etwas.Allerdings gibt es ein paar Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten, daher ein Stern Abzug:Mein Quellcode bezog sich wahrscheinlich auf eine alte IDE-Version und ich musste oft "arduino.h" durch "Arduino.h" ersetzen, dann konnte es compiliert werden.Manchmal bräuchte man eine dritte Hand oder eine Pinzette, während man alles zusammenbaut ... und man muss aufpassen, dass die kleinen Schräubchen nicht auf einen grauen Teppich fallen ...Die Verlegung des Kabels vom Servo-Motor zum Shield könnte besser beschrieben sein. Das habe ich zu spät gemacht, das war ein Gefummel ... auch hätte ich ein Stückchen Tape spendiert, ohne könnte es sich im Laufe der Zeit an scharfen Kanten aufscheuern.Wenn der "Joystick" neutral steht, ist der Wert nicht ganz "0", daher gibt es ein leichtes Summen, auch wenn sich nichts bewegen sollte, da könnte man den Schwellwert anpassen.Bei voller Fahrt voraus, zieht es dadurch leicht nach links ... durch Eingriffe in den Quellcode kann man das ausgleichen. Somit hat man etwas Spaß.Auch hätte ich mir einen Modus gewünscht, in dem man eine "normale" (vorne weiß, hinten rot, Warnblinken) Fahrzeugbeleuchtung und die Maximalgeschwindigkeit einstellen kann, aber dafür hat man ja den Quellcode ... :)Leider ist beim Arduino auf dem Fahrzeug wahrscheinlich der Spannungsregler durchgebrannt, als ich später mal die Batterieladung getestet und danach die Batterie nicht wieder abgeschaltet bzw. getrennt habe, zum Glück hatte ich noch einen alten Arduino in Reserve ...Weiterhin ist eine der LEDs, die vorletzte, durchgebrannt, das konnte man hören, seit dem sind zwei LEDs dunkel ...Vielleicht gibt es irgendwann mal eine Möglichkeit die "Verschleißteile" nachzubestellen.Trotzdem insgesamt ein schönes Spielzeug ...

Hatte beim Zusammenbau ein Board gecrashed - Freenove hat meine Mail mit der Frage um Ersatz sofort (keine 24h) beantwortet und trotz meines Fehlers ein neues Board kostenfrei zugesendet. DAS NENNE ICH SERVICE!

Although similar in design and form, the Freenove version of a Robot Car is superior in design and execution. I have read other reviews of this kit and offer some insight to consider.The components are of excellent quality and the fit of the build is simple to assemble with a number of cables which only fit (mate) to the proper ports on the control board greatly reducing the possibility of errors. I have purchased other Freenove kits and bought this one due to their excellent manuals and great customer service (which other companies sorely lack).There should be some attention paid to the fact that this is a kit and not a plug-n-play toy so you must bear this in mind and set your expectations accordingly. It is intended to teach some electronics and software basics while producing a great “toy” in the process. You DO NOT need to program to get this car to work! You have the option to just upload a software package called a “sketch” (although you do have the option to make changes to the code as well). Just follow the instructions which explain everything step by step. However, you do need access to a computer to upload software to the control board on the car and to the remote (this is not rocket science but may be a little intimidating to someone who has never done this before). If it is a present for a child make sure that they are at least 12 years old or have an adult to assist with the build and access to a computer with Internet access to download Arduino IDE (a free open-source safe software system used globally).If you encounter any issues, Freenove Customer Support is very responsive and detailed. I had a problem with the Tracking Mode on this Car (the other 2 modes worked great). The IR Sensor Module was not close enough to the ground to work properly. After contacting Freenove’s Customer Support, regarding the Tracking Mode issue, they informed me that new kits will have an improved chassis plate (like the replacement part I received) and the 4WD Robot Car will no longer have this issue. However, if you have an earlier version I suggest that you contact Freenove as I did.” The replacement part made all the difference and the Robot Car is now fully functional.I highly recommend this Robot car and the other Freenove Kits as well.

Un excellent kit très bien fait, facile à monter et performant (sauf la commande infrarouge, quasi inutilisable). Le prix est intéressant compte tenu du nombre de pièces fournies (dont 2 Arduinos). Le support technique auquel j'ai demandé les schémas électroniques du kit me les a envoyé immédiatement ! Bravo !
