Fox ranger shirts are the only kind my son will wear mtb-ing.

The inner short is stretchy. The outer short is stretchy. The waistband was too big, rigid, and with ribbon like adjustments on the sides that would not stay tight no matter what we tried. How about just an elastic waist? Simple. Effective. It isn't like anyone is tucking their shirt in anyway while riding their bike so who cares what the waistband looks like. Also, watch out because even though it says "free returns" they tried to charge me to ship it back and a restocking fee.

My 1st grader mountain bikes with dad and these have been great. Easy to tighten the waist so they fit more than a month or two. Chamois is great except the one time my son forgot to put his legs in the chamois part and had it just hanging in the shorts and couldn’t do a ride due to discomfort and my husband despite me saying the shorts had had a chamois that morning couldn’t find it 😂 silly guys. Great color they hold up super well and no complaints.

I purchased these for myself and not a child. I am 5’6” and usually wear a size 0 or 24/25 in jeans. These youth shorts in a size 26 fit perfect. The actual shorts have FOX on the left leg as pictured in the photo. These are the Ranger shorts. I’m not thrilled with the liner as they are not flattering and you can see all of the lines through the shorts (think sausage leg), so I may wind up using something else. Overall, a big savings from the women’s version.
