The Flyer Glider Jr Lean to Steer Scooter is a great, high-quality riding toy for preschool-age children. I got this for my son's third birthday. It is perfect for him because it is stable enough for him to learn all the skills involved in propelling himself forward while steering and learning to brake.This product has a lot of benefits:• It has an adjustable handlebar that allows the scooter to "grow" with the child.• While rated for a maximum of forty-four pounds, the thick, nylon composite deck is strong enough to hold a much larger child. It isn't brittle plastic that will harden and crack if left outside. Since this is for a birthday surprise, I tested it out myself. It was strong enough to hold me-- a full-grown momma.• The clear, pictorial instructions made this easy to assemble.•The wheels are high-quality polyurethane, and they spin freely on really nice bearings.• This scooter is equipped with comfortable handlebars.• The matte finish on the aluminum frame feels sleek and modern.• The brake has elevated, non-slip texturing.At the same time, there are also some drawbacks:• It is difficult to assemble the wheel guard because the front two screws must be dropped into a hole and then tightened. I had to take the guard off several times because the small screws kept getting stuck underneath the front section of the scooter before I could fasten them.•The vertical piece connected to the handle bars should be removable, but I cannot push the release button in and pull out at the same time. The fit for the bar is so tight that I had to wiggle it into position to assemble it in the first place. Perhaps someone with tougher hands could do this, but I find it too difficult.• I ordered a blue scooter, but received a teal one. While this isn't a product defect by any means, I wanted to mention it because my pictures are different than the product description. I think my son will like the teal one just as well.Overall, I think this is a great scooter. I can't wait to give it to my son. I am confident that he'll enjoy this for years to come.

My toddler loves this! He is 21 months old and this size is just perfect for him. I love that it has the steering capacity which makes things a lot easier for my toddler to maneuver the scooter. This is well made as materials are sturdy and durable and will definitely last my baby until he outgrows this. This is a perfect gift for active toddlers and small kids. Would highly recommend

My daughter loves this scooter! It was really easy to put together and the instructions were simple enough. The turning function is so cool and much easier than regular scooters for little ones to use. It's super low to the ground so if they fall, it won't be a bad one. The handles have quite a bit of range for height. I absolutely love the design of this scooter!

The product seems well made, was easy to put together, and glides smoothly. It's for my grandson's 2nd birthday. He's already flying around on it. I ended up with the green instead of blue. There was no option for this color. I would have sent it back but wanted it for his birthday. Note to self: Don't wait until the last minute to order a gift.

My two year old (boy) hasn't completely figured this out yet. It was straight forward to assemble and everything seems very durable. You steer by leaning or pushing the handlebar to the left or right. There's a brake on the rear wheel that you step on to engage. The platform is nice and wide and the handlebar height is adjustable. The wheels glide very easily, especially on smooth floors. We haven't tried this outside yet. There is a weight limit. The platform is just plastic--parents, don't steal this for yourself or it could break.
