Instead of listing these shoes using the standard EU sizing (41, 42, etc) used by Fizik, Amazon converts these sizes to the US equivalents, but frequently gets it wrong. I returned an earlier pair that were listed by Amazon as US 9.5, but were only an EU 41, which is about a US size 7.5.I finally got the correct size, EU 42.5, about the same as a US 9.5, and they’re great winter shoes. Very warm and comfortable, with plenty of extra room for thicker winter socks. The closure is unusual, you pull on a long lace cord to snug them up, then lock down the cord with a slider. This looks complicated, but is very easy to do. The only downside is that there’s extra cord to tuck into the shoe before zipping-up, a much shorter cord would have sufficed.The zipper and wide Velcro-backed flap at the ankle seal these shoes very well, and the inner fleecy lining and soft, heat-reflective insoles keep feet toasty. Since these are ankle-high shoes you’ll feel them against your ankles while riding, but it’s easy to get used to it, and doesn’t restrict pedaling effort, even when standing.These shoes are about 400 grams each, which is understandable considering the focus on warmth and all-weather durability. This is about the weight of my regular road shoes + full covers, but the Artica’s provide much more warmth.Fizik claims that these shoes are waterproof, but I can’t comment on that, as my road bike is allergic to rain, especially in the dead of winter.I use slip-on neoprene toe covers on my regular cycling shoes for cool weather, but for cold weather these dedicated winter shoes are far superior to any full shoe covers, and a lot easier to use.Recommended.

I love these shoes, they’ve enabled me to ride in weather that i would otherwise avoid. They fit comfortably and keep my feet warm and dry. What more can you ask for. Glad I bought them.
