cant go wrong with name brand people. Filtrete is the best for a reason. Whenever I change my filtrete filter, I can literally see with my eyes the amount of dusts and sickness these things capture. it starts white, and then will turn literally black as it works. these are amazing, awesome, increbible, perfct. As someone who is immune compromised, i can actually feel the differnce bw a filtrete filter, and an off brand one. Even the off brand filters that claim to be MERV 11+ never have the actual physical evidence of them working. with filtrete, you can SEE the filter turning more and more black as it works. you can also feel the air get crisper and fresher hours after installing it. just pay the name brand price people, its worth it. Ive tried all the off brands and all the filters claiming to be better. these are hands down the best. so worth it. a name brand i will never skimp on.

I've been using these MERV 12 equivalent filters from Filtrete for quite some time now and I'm pleased with their effective filtration ability. Amazon provides the best unit cost in my region.

Well packaged, timely shipping, best price I could find. This is the highest internet recommended filter I could find. I have used this filter in Florida for the past 1 1/2 years and it works great; the amount of dust/pollen that one filter removes over a 90 day period is almost unbelievable, but that was part of the Filtrete description. Most other places were selling this for 33 to 66% more.

I have tried several filters and measured air flow at the vents in my home. This filter performs far better than others--it allows greater airflow through my furnace. Based on my measurements I am getting nearly triple the air flow as compared to using the more typical filter design of the same size. The reason for this increase I believe is because there is more filter surface area with these Filtrete filters. The number of folds of filtration paper in the filter is far more than typical filters of the same size. This provides far more surface area for the air to flow through--more air movement. This helps in both summer and winter to increase the efficiency of your cooling or heating system. I simply measure by how high the vent outlet can sustain the weight of an 8.5 x11 inch sheet of paper--holding the paper gently at the edge with both hands. For example in one of my upstairs vents; The typical filer provides about 3 to 5 inches of lift while the Filtrete filter was providing a solid 18 inches of lift. Big difference!

These filters are top quality and arrived quickly. I live in the TX panhandle where blowing dust is part of life. And being in the 4th year of drought hasn't helped. So a good quality filter like these helps a lot to keep the amount of dust and pet dander minimized. The price was good with the free shipping and I will buy again when needing more.
