Been looking for this MPR 1900 Filterette for years. My neighbor across the street uses firewood to heat his house in the winter and the general wind/breeze direction carries the smoke & ash to my house. I've become sensitive to smoke after 20+ years. I'm hoping the filter will adequately reduce the particulates & improve my indoor air quality. I found what I wanted on Amazon. FYI: this filter is thicker and restricts air flow to your HVAC system.

Filters work great as long as they're not damaged before getting to use them. Ruins the efficiency when they don't seal in the chamber properly.

These filters capture an amazing amount of dust, pollen and cat fur from our house, without reducing airflow through our HVAC system. However, Amazon was rather careless with shipping and jammed these into a box with 40 pounds of cat litter. This heavy litter crushed the filter's cardboard frames.Beware that these arrive as two filters wrapped with a single plastic layer, so opening one exposes both to whatever environment you use to store them. If you buy six, I think that the manufacturer wraps each one individually and delivers them in a sturdy cardboard box.

I have air quality health issues so I replace my three intake filters monthly.These filters work great but I wish there was a cheaper option.I would be willing to purchase 50 at a time if there was a steep discount.I dinged the sturdiness since the last delivery was partially crushed.
